Beer Name: Barb
Style: Pale Ale
ABV: 5.2%
Color: roughly the same color as the sawdust you get from non-hardwood lumber
Cheese Pairing: Wensleydale
Food Pairing: Salmon maki
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Feet Don't Fail Me" by Queens of the Stone Age
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Stereo Nucleosis" by Red Fang
Best Occasion to Drink: Definitely not right after you've had some nyquil, I can tell you that much
Brewers' Notes: we got all excited about the new-to-us hop Barbe Rouge, whose tasting notes (which I am not making up) include such descriptive flavor-terms as "red," as well as a comparison to kumquats, which might as well be fictional given how much we know about them (sometimes it seems like the people who write hop flavor descriptions are specifically seeking out fruits that nobody knows, so that they can't easily be proven wrong). Anyway, we wanted to get to know this hop, so we crammed a whole bunch into this tasty little pale ale and now we get to share it with you!
