Beer Name: Organ Meats
Style: Smoked wheat ale
ABV: 5.1%
Color: Fiery gold
Cheese Pairing: Smoked gouda. Might as well go all-in at this point.
Food Pairing: Pineapple teriyaki burgers.
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Wires" by Red Fang
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "The Talking Horse" by the Melvins or "Winter's Wolves" by The Sword
Best Occasion to Drink: During the Organ Meats set at our birthday party!
Brewers' Notes: It's our birthday and we'll brew a bunch of concept beers if we want to, dagnabbit! For this here beer, we set about to make something that would pair with the music of Organ Meats but since we're a smidge unfamiliar with their music (we're Beer Friends with some of the members) we took their word for it on a beer pairing and went smoky! We took the recipe for an unassuming lil' smooth sipper and added a fistful or two of cherrywood smoked malt (from our friends over at Valley Malt) and a dash of earthy, citrusy hops to round it out and dang but it is a tasty beverage! It might take a few sips to calibrate your palate to that smoke, but once you do, you'll wanna down this sucker by the liter!
