Beer Name: Blood of Krampus
Style: Barrel Aged Biere de Noel
ABV: 7.5%
Color: Not blood-colored, despite the name. If your blood looks like this you should go see a doctor.
Cheese Pairing: Taleggio
Food Pairing: Black pudding
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Krampus is Coming to Town" by Rusty Cage
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Heroic Interlude" by the Red Elvises
Best Occasion to Drink: When you've sunk so far into your armchair that it's difficult to get out, but you don't want to admit it so you just keep summoning people to fetch things for you
Brewers' Notes: The eve of Krampusnacht is nigh, and the night demands a sacrifice! For our offering, we sacrificed an alluring array of beers to the Gods of Good Taste (including some beers that were recently awoken from a lengthy slumber in Short Path Whisk(e)y barrels, and some that were plucked from their homes while still young), and our efforts were rewarded with none other than the Blood of Krampus! This deep, brooding, mysterious beer is the perfect accompaniment to those long, dark winter nights - whether you're sipping from a snifter by the fire or chugging from the bottle in a Waffle House parking lot. Enjoy!
