Beer Name: Believe in Yourself
Style: Black IPA (or, if you prefer, and you're definitely not pretentious at all, "Cascadian Dark Ale")
ABV: 6.3%
Color: you're never gonna believe this, but... black? Or, at least, black-adjacent
Cheese Pairing: Pistachio-crusted stilton
Food Pairing: Dude, just go to town on a bunch of bratwurst. Get the grocery store brand if you have to.
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "xXXXx Made Me Do It" by xXXXx
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "The Curse of the Broken Bowl" by xXXXx
Best Occasion to Drink: Right before you stumble out of a dimly lit bar on a sunny day
Brewers' Notes: Our new friends from xXXXx (pronounced "x triple-x x" if you were wondering, which honestly doesn't make them the easiest band to google) thought their music would pair well with a black IPA and in addition to the fact that the sonic dissonance in their music pairs extremely well with the cognitive dissonance inherent in a black IPA, there's also the fact that we've never *made* a black IPA before and we sure as heck love a challenge so here's the fruits of our challenge or whatever and the point is that it's delicious as hell even if you don't *quite* know what's going on, what's really important is to just roll with it and enjoy the ride and that's what we're here for!
