Beer Name: Smaltster
Style: English-Style Pale Ale
ABV: 4.7%
Color: Dusky tangerine
Cheese Pairing: Edam
Food Pairing: Pretty much any cold cut sandwich, preferably pastrami if hot or salami if not.
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "From the Sky" by Glowsun
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Too Drunk to Surf" by Hawaii Samurai
Best Occasion to Drink: Wandering around the park just before sunset.
Brewers' Notes: We like to buy local whenever we can, and we're blessed with an abundance of small maltsters (who we call "smaltsters" because we're dorks), and when we got the itch to brew somethin' a little malty we decided to toss in grains from our three favorites (namely Valley Malt, Blue Ox, and Stone Path), and the end result is this quaffable lil' pale! It's nice 'n' sweet 'n' toasty to show off all that smaltster goodness, but there's a solid punch o' earthy, fruity hops to round it all out and dang but it's so good.
