Beer Name: Joyrider
Style: Rye Barrel Aged Tripel
ABV: 9.0%
IBU: 29
Color: Yellowish with a hint of amber, like low-grade maple syrup
Cheese Pairing: Aged Mahón
Food Pairing: Steak au poivre or just an entire five-pound jug of cheez balls.
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Through the Roof 'n Underground" by Gogol Bordello
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Hot Dog" by They Might Be Giants
Best Occasion to Drink: Regularly.
Brewers' Notes: We sure do love us some Joybringer around here, and when we got bit by the barrelin' bug a bit back, it seemed like a silly idea to not age that delicious tripel in a bunch of old whiskey barrels. So that's exactly what we did! In this particular case, the whiskey in question is Bear Creek Rye, and this lil' concoction has us delighted to the point of dizziness.
