Brewers' Notes: We recently got approached by some Friends of the Brewery - specifically Bob and Nani - and they wanted us to make them a wedding beer (which, no foolin', we love doing), and they sweetened the deal by givin' us a little recipe challenge: make a modern-style IPA, but featuring at least some traditional Indian ingredients. So in other words, they wanted us to put the I back in IPA and we straight-up jumped at the chance and then got a little intimidated because most of our knowledge of Indian food comes from the "eating" side of things rather than the "making" side and we don't know how to use turmeric in a beer (spoiler alert: our method was "don't"). Anyway, we wanted to be sure their wedding guests would have a tasty tipple, so we went and tossed a buncha ginger into a nice 'n' citrussy IPA and dang but it's a perfect pairing if we do say so ourselves!
