Beer Name: Crystal
Style: Single Hop Pale Ale
ABV: 4.7%
Color: Not quite Throwback Pale, but also not quite New Skool Pale.
Cheese Pairing: Alpine cheese.
Food Pairing: Coffee-rubbed top round.
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Toxic Waltz" by Exodus
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Burn with Me" by Tau Cross.
Best Occasion to Drink: FOOD FIGHT!
Brewers' Notes: Dang but it has been Too Long since we "got back to our roots" and did up some delectable-ass single-hop pale ales, and since we like to focus on a) old-school hops that don't get the love they should these days, and 2) local hops, we ordered up a whole mess o' Crystal from our friends at Four Star Farms and whoo-ee are we glad we did! This lil' hop is usually pretty subtle and herbal on the palate, but the L'Etoiles did some kinda dirt magic (they have very fancy dirt, you should ask them about it sometime) and now it's fulla lychee and apricot and all kindsa cool stuff!
