Beer Name: Chalk Outline
Style: Hoppy Amber
ABV: 6.6%
Color: Russet tinged with orange
Cheese Pairing: Brie
Food Pairing: Meatloaf
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Let the Devil in" by Green Lung
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Beat on the Brat" by The Ramones
Best Occasion to Drink: Definitely not while murdering people, we don't need that kind of press
Brewers' Notes: This here beer is a collab with the book Abel Bodied, written by local author Michael Cloherty! We don't normally do collaborations with books, but this one's an account of a historical bank robbery turned murder up in Malden and we thought this toasty, tasty ol' amber ale would be the perfect pairing so we brewed it on up and dumped in a heaping helping of MI-grown Rakau (and if you've been around for a while, you'll know that locally-grown Rakau is one of our favorite hops and this is as local as we could get) and it's got that whole "jam on toast" thing that we're ever so fond of and we think you'll enjoy it too!
