Brewers' Notes: This lil' beer's made to honor the memory of our bartender Megan's passed-on pooch Dobbie (no relation to any famous wizard books/movies), so we'll let her take it away on the notes:
I first met Dobbie while living in NC, she was being fostered by a friend of mine. I went to their house and immediately thought “this is supposed to be my dog”. So I did everything I had to do to adopt her. I’m not sure how old she was when I got her but she was definitely “older”. I don’t know much about her past but she wasn’t very in to regular dog things. She didn’t require a lot of physical affection, even though that didn’t stop me from showering her with pets. Really she just wanted to be where you were. It wasn’t until I moved back to Florida and my family got a puppy named Elenor that I saw Dobbie play for the first time or enjoy a toy. Elenor and Dobbie were best friends. Cheers to Dobbie for being my first pup!! Your little legs and elf ears will always bring me joy, hopefully this beer will bring others that same happiness in your memory.
