Beer Name: Kegasus
Style: Mixed Fermentation Farmhouse Ale
ABV: 4.9%
Color: Lightly brownish but slightly rosy, like echinacea tea
Cheese Pairing: Willoughby
Food Pairing: Mussels in spicy broth, ideally with andouille
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Evil Motherfucker From Tennessee" by Joe Buck Yourself
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Bend Over Beethoven" by !!!
Best Occasion to Drink: While watching a jousting match
Brewers' Notes: This is a beer whose whole surpasses the sum of its parts (not unlike the fabled Kegasus of lore): we blended a lightly funky brown ale (emboldened by some tart cherry) with a sharply tart (and beguilingly funk-forward) farmhouse, and added in another farmhouse (this one laden with honey and plums), bringing a measure of calm to the whole affair.
The end result is a beer that's loaded with funky goodness, but also brings enough jammy fruit to the table that you wouldn't mind tangoin' with this dance partner for the rest of the night.
