Beer Name: Green Smoothie Redux
Style: Misfit IPA
ABV: 6.2%
Color: I know "hazy" isn't a color, but let's be serious here. It's a color.
Cheese Pairing: Humboldt Fog
Food Pairing: Mole chicken
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Waiting in Line (First Stanza)" by Trappist
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "The People vs. Mr. T" by Gozu
Best Occasion to Drink: Whilst pining
Brewers' Notes: We like to keep a bag of "odds and ends" hops kickin' around in the ol' hop freezer - one full of a buncha different hop varieties, all in sizes that are too small or too weird to be useful to us - and every time that bag fills up we throw it all into one beer! The first time we did that we named the beer "Green Smoothie" and we made a point of telling people that we could never make it again because we literally did not know what was in it (the labels froze off of a couple hop bags, so we were going off of educated guesses) and that beer is - still, to this day, four years later - the most-requested "when are you brewing this again" beer. And this beer is definitely not that beer (because the original one is impossible to reproduce. I mentioned this), so think of it as more of a tribute to (apparently) the greatest beer we've ever brewed. Cheers!
