Beer Name: Sunday Plans
Style: Hoppy Amber
ABV: 5.8%
Color: A lovely burnt sienna. Hops be praised it's nice to not have to find another synonym for "yellow."
Cheese Pairing: medium-age manchego (6-12 months is your sweet spot here)
Food Pairing: Duck a l'orange
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "The Little Things" by Southern Culture on the Skids
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "La Danza del Mondo" by Los Orientales de Paramonga
Best Occasion to Drink: when you use vague, unspecified "plans" as your excuse to get out of actually doing things.
Brewers' Notes: We sure do love us some amber ales around here, but dang has it been a while since we've gotten to brew one. But then we realized we're in control of our own destiny or some shit, so we went and brewed one! And since we were feelin' a little extra sassy and/or saucy, we went ahead and sprinkled in a generous helping of a couple "new fave" hops, namely Mackinack and the unfortunately-named Bitter Gold and them ol' hops provide a nice bright fruitiness that belies the big ol' belly of caramel that's hiding right underneath and we daresay you're in for a treat!
