Beer Name: Half the Time
Style: Biere de Miel
ABV: 5.9%
Color: yellowish, hints of gold, etc.
Cheese Pairing: Babybel
Food Pairing: Turkey club
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "The Way I Walk" by the Cramps
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Walk on the Wild Side" by Lou Reed
Best Occasion to Drink: While eating sandwiches
Brewers' Notes: Our friends from Deep Cuts Deli & Brewery wanted to collab up some collab timez, so we put the (metaphorical) rubber to the (literal) road and did just that! They wanted to brew a beer that would go well with sandwiches, which is a completely normal thing to want to do, but also they suggested that it should be "Arnold-Palmer inspired," which was honestly a bit of a curveball (and, man, we really hope they meant the drink and not the person, because that's the direction we went in). Anyway, we decided to up the Challenge Factor here and lean pretty hard on the word "inspired," which means there were no lemons or tea leaves harmed in the making of this beer (except for when Jared threw a lemon at a raccoon in our parking lot, but that was unrelated) and instead we sought those flavors from malts and hops and a hefty helpin' of honey. You may have to use your imagination a little bit to get the whole "Arnold Palmer" thing, but we daresay it's a tasty tipple!
