Beer Name: Voyager
Style: Single hop saison
ABV: 4.8%
IBU: 32
Color: listen, I'm running out of fancy-sounding ways to say "kind of yellowish," so let's just assume this is saison colored and get on with our lives.
Cheese Pairing: Reading Raclette.
Food Pairing: Cracklins.
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "I Wanna Rock 'n Roll All Night" by the Red Elvises
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Eight Piece Box" by Southern Culture on the Skids.
Best Occasion to Drink: During a needlessly competitive game of dominoes.
Brewers' Notes: It's patio season, which can only lead to what our doctor calls "daytime drinking." And if there's one thing we've learned after years of research on the subject, it's that you gotta pace yourself lest you find yourself waking up at dusk, covered in mosquito bites and clutching a spatula. So to combat those early summer nap attacks, we grabbed some grains from Blue Ox (they're local! Ish!) and Two Track and used them to set the stage for new-to-us Vojvodina hops (which are originally of Yugoslavian origin) from Two K Farms in Michigan! The end result is a spritely, vaguely woody easy swigger that'll keep you goin' without gettin' too knock-kneed too early.
