Beer Name: Blue Manic
Style: Pale Ale with Spruce Tips
ABV: 5.3%
Color: A little lighter than low-grade maple syrup
Cheese Pairing: You know those weird dried cheese things that have the same texture as Triscuits, only they're made entirely out of cheese? They're good, but I don't know if there's an agreed-upon name for them. Crisps? Future Cheese? Cheese Snax Maxx? Anyway, those. Preferably cheddar flavored.
Food Pairing: Meat on a stick. Meat on a stick!
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "The Bedouin" by Blue Manic
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Set Me Free" by Blue Manic
Best Occasion to Drink: While engaging in a lengthy, heated debate about colors. This would all be so much easier if you would just realize that magenta is NOT A REAL COLOR but rather a side-effect of the fact that YOUR BRAIN IS LYING TO YOU.
Brewers' Notes: We're gettin' primped and prepped and gettin' all the beers brewed up for our big ol' birthday party and this time around that means a tasty-ass pale ale to pair with the sounds of a newcomer to our setlist: Blue Manic! Anyway, we figured that pale ale is a pretty dang good beer for rockin' out and since all the cool kids are really into spruce tips these days we figured we'd throw a couple handfuls of those tasty tidbits on in there with all the hops and whathaveyou and now we've got this beer and it's good and you should drink it!
