Beer Name: Fool's Gold
Style: IPA
ABV: 6.9%
Color: Gold ish? I guess?
Cheese Pairing: Wild Alpine
Food Pairing: Cup noodles
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Fool's Gold" by Actor Observer
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Arm's Reach" by Actor Observer
Best Occasion to Drink: when you're going through old photos on your phone late at night
Brewers' Notes: We're right jazzed that we got to make a beer with our post-hardcore pals in Actor Observer, especially since this particular beer is made to pair with their latest album "Songs for the Newly Reclusive," which - to paraphrase one of the band members - is in many ways about recognizing that everything is terrible and finding your own peace of mind and maybe becoming a little dissociative, and man but that struck a chord with us. Like, we made a whole series of beers about that several years ago, and the only reason we didn't keep the series going was because at one point we said "okay, this is starting to look more unhinged than we really want, we gotta rein that in." Anyway, as the choice of tipple to toast while the world crumbles, we took a buncha local grains and some of our freshest, fruitiest hops (including some of those "cryo hops" that all the cool kids are talking about) and brewed up this bright 'n fruity IPA and now you get to drink some!
