Beer Name: Sam's Elven Explosion
Style:
ABV: 8.5%
Color: Kind of... beige? But a little more orange? The orange version of beige, whatever that is.
Cheese Pairing: Camembert
Food Pairing: Sticky toffee pudding
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Give Me to the Night" by Unto Others
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "S.W.A.S." by Teen Mortgage
Best Occasion to Drink: While making some completely normal comments about Santa and/or his helpers
Brewers' Notes: This is somehow the third blend to come out of our blending session with Stryga (the other two were Artificial Reaper and Joining The War On The Side Of The Whales) only we couldn't make it at the time because we didn't have enough of some of the beers in the blend. But anyway that's all irrelevant because we've got it now and it is damn tasty if we do say so ourselves (and we do); the blend itself is all over the place, but it somehow manages to coalesce into a whole that's significantly greater than the sum of its parts - there's apple-brandy-barrel-aged barleywine in there and also some tripel and a bit of blueberry-liqueur-aged ginger farmhouse and dang but if it isn't a treat!
