Best Occasion to Drink: Dogs!
Brewers' Notes: We're back in action once again, brewin' up beers for our four-legged friends! This time around we partnered with our newfound friends at Last Chance Animal Rescue, who not only finds loving homes for pups in need, but also provides a home for some otherwise "unadoptable" dogs at St. Francis Farm and anyway we get a lil' bit teary-eyed just thinking about it so we figured we'd brew up a double IPA in honor of some of their pups and in order to make this beer Extra Special we threw in a whole buncha new-to-us Multihead (which, if you're the "pays attention to hop news" type, is a Neomexicanus variety. And if you're not really into reading about hops, all you really need to know is that brewers have been wetting their pants in excitement about the newly-discovered Neomexicanus hops for a couple years now)! Anyway, here it is and it's tasty and part of the proceeds goes to help dogs in need! It's a win-win!

Dexter is an adoptable dog currently living at St. Francis Farm! Check out his story below, and follow this link to donate to the farm or inquire about adoption!
Dexter was dumped at a campground. He seemed scared, and aggressive, so visitors called Animal Control to come get him and he was taken directly to a local shelter. Since he had shown this fearful aggression, no one wanted him and he was moved up to the top of the euthanasia list. Many people don't realize that it is scary for dogs, just like humans, to be thrown into new situations, with new people and that they need time to decompress. Luckily, right before Dexter's time ran out at the shelter, St Francis Farm staff stepped in and offered him a home on the farm!
Dexter loves his life here, and does amazing with our staff, being a playful favorite.
