Beer Name: Jabber
Style: Amber Ale
ABV: 5.6%
IBU: 27
Color: An amber so deep you're almost compelled to point out that it's more of a "brown" before you realize it's not worth arguing about and resume enjoying your beer.
Cheese Pairing: A nice, grassy English Cheddar.
Food Pairing: Poutine.
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): Sugar Creek by Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band.
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): Jesco Goes to Nashville by John Danley.
Best Occasion to Drink: To sustain yourself during an hours-long pinball tournament.
Brewer's Notes:
Somewhat to our surprise, one of the most common requests* we get is for none other than the humble Amber Ale. This caught us off guard for a bit, as it's hardly the most sexy style, until we realized that we'd been entirely missing the point - not everyone wants intense assault on the tastebuds, as is the case with many of these Xtreme Flavor Blast Beerz. Some people want a beer that's Just A Beer - no more no less - so that's why we made this thing! There's some subtle complexity lurking amongst the flavors if you care to look for it, or you can just drink it and not make a big fuss and that's cool too.
*We also get a fair number of people asking for "Trillium-Style" beers, but it turns out that there's another area brewery that happens to make nothing but "Trillium-Style" beers and we figure it's best to let them take the lead on that.
