Beer Name: Joining the War on the Side of the Whales
Style: Barrel Aged Dark Strong Ale
ABV: 8.1%
Color: dark like Liz's soul, murky like Jared's memories
Cheese Pairing: Delice de Bourgogne
Food Pairing: Cannoli with chocolate chips
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Mercy of the Sea" by Gnome
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Shrine of the Orange Sunn" by Eight Foot Manchild
Best Occasion to Drink: GOBLIN MODE
Brewers' Notes: this might be our most crowdsourced beer yet - the blend was developed by/with the gents from Stryga when we met to figure out their blend and they turned out to be some pretty talented beer blenders despite the fact that they were completely green going into it (this one isn't, like, Second Place, it's just the one we had less of and we wanted Stryga to have lots of beer with their name on it) and then in a move we thought (and, depending on who you ask, still think) could be a big mistake we let our mug club submit names for this beer and then vote for the winner (props to Camille for submitting the winning entry) and voila! We've got this big 'n burly beer that really brings the barrel but also it's rich and smooth and damn near indulgent and the point is that you should drink some!
