Beer Name: Ginger Disco
Style: Farmhouse with ginger aged in Summer Reserve barrel
ABV: 8.5%
Color: Caramel-colored, like the caramel you'd see in an ad for chocolates that are super expensive even though they're not actually any better than M&Ms
Cheese Pairing: Winnimere (ideally with Raincoast Crisps)
Food Pairing: Carbonade flamande
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Dance Commander" by Electric Six
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Closet Disco Dancer" by The Red Elvises
Best Occasion to Drink: Maybe Saturday
Brewers' Notes: When we got our grubby lil' paws on some Summer Reserve* barrels from our friends over at Short Path, our first reaction (other than opening the bung and yelling "it smells so good!" and then making everybody else come smell it) was to fill that sucker up with a buncha spicy ol' ginger farmhouse and then we set about the arduous process of waiting for it to be done and then we set about the less-arduous process of forgetting about it for a little while (it's been a weird year, okay?) but then we dragged that sucker outta the barrel and it's so good and now you can have some with us!
* Summer Reserve - for those of you that don't know - is a gin-based, intensely blueberry-forward liqueur that's just delightful
