Beer Name: Kingslayer
Style: Oatmeal Brown
ABV: 6.5%
Color: We can confidently say that this beer is "probably brown"
Cheese Pairing: Juustoleipä
Food Pairing: French onion soup with a big ol' hunk of crusty bread
Music Pairing (Jimbo's Choice): "Kingslayer" by Crowfeeder
Music Pairing (Jared's Choice): "Pinebox" by Crowfeeder
Best Occasion to Drink: while hopefully not getting another noise complaint call from the police
Brewers' Notes: Oh man it's completely a treat to get to see Crowfeeder play, so obviously we invited them to play at our anniversary show only this time on the beer front we figured we'd "mix things up" a bit and so now instead of a smoked brown their beer is a... different type of brown ale. Look, we didn't say we were gonna mix things up a lot. Anyway we wanted to go as "all out" on the grain bill as we could so we grabbed a buncha locally grown grains (including some Crystal Naked Oats, which are sadly no longer made) and also some slightly-less-local grains (there are so many different grains in this beer. Maybe too many, but time will tell) and also just a pinch of some earthy-fruity hops (also locally grown, as luck would have it) and anyway this beer brings big bouquets of shortbread and bread crust and I can't actually think of a third bread-related thing here so we'll just go with "a pinch of brown sugar sweetness" and the point is that it's tasty as hell and you should drink some!
