In Which We Get Funky

Well hello! I hope you've been well. We're certainly keepin' our dang ol' selves busy what with all the new beers and tasty treats and whathaveyou, so we gon' cut right on down to the brass tacks and get to the jib of it!

This is the only picture we are going to show you from our collab brew with the band Vaulted last week. 'Bout sums it up. Beer release and spicy food party is on Fri 5/10.

Gettin' things off to a good start this week we're releasing a beer made to celebrate the wedding of two rad people (specifically Maddie and Zack), and we're callin' it Unholy Alliance! And despite the imposing name, this is a light 'n' bright lil' smooth sipper that'll do you right for a straight-up marathon session. It's on tap right now so you should come drink some!

Issa big bag o' peach and good taste with a scary name. You're gonna love it.

Speaking of things that are delicious, this week for our weekly cask (on Thursday, of course) we're tappin' up a beer that has pretty unanimously been voted a taproom favorite* - Jeff! Jeff is pretty rad already, but we figured he wouldn't complain much about us adding a little extra CrysCade, so we did just that and whoa nelly it gon' be good!

Then on Friday we're keepin' that delicousness train rollin' with ice cream flights! Ice! Cream! Flights!

And on Saturday we're addin' to our usual hootenanny with pastelitos from Matilda's! You've had these before. You know how tasty they are. I ain't even gotta tell you.

Yes I do. They are the friggin tastiest.

Lastly, we've got a little hint o' some stuff that's comin up in future times. Long story short, we started us up a wee little funk program a little ways back, and the current taste tests are suggesting that you may be seeing some of these delicious liquids grace your glasses pretty soon, so keep your eyes peeeled...**

* I know, we say that every week, but customers and staff alike have been enjoying the absolute shit outta this beer.

In Which We Don Our Dance Pants

Oh hi there! We got us a rootin' tootin' sure shootin' pile o' smiles comin' your way this week, so saddle up!

First on our figurative plates this week is a tasty lil' amber ale what goes by the name of Dance Bob!* Dance Bob's gettin' tapped on up right as soon as we finish of the last lil' bits of Pat Signal, so keep them eyes peeled (and/or get you some Pat Signal while you still can)!

Then on Thursday we've got our Trusty Thursday Cask and this week we've got On-On on cask! It's nice 'n' light 'n' bright on its own, but we tossed in a little extra galena for an added pineapple punch and we're right certain it gon' be tasty!

Speaking of tasty, we've got JA Patties back in the house on Friday! If you like good tastes, you should probably definitely eat a whole buncha these patties!

And if you're lookin' to get your munch on this Saturday, we've once again got the culinary juggernauts from Bonetown and Brato squarin' off to show off their food chops and this time around the arena (somewhat topically for the date of the event) is Junk Food! We're expectin' a whole buncha ingenuity in the form of tasty-foods-stuffed-into-other-tasty-foods and probably some kind of Meat Wizardry but more than anything we're expecting deliciousness because these kids do not disappoint!

And in honor of this most snackinest of occasions, we're releasing a new beer! We took a whole buncha dank, resiny hops and crammed 'em all into this one beer until it was fit to burst, and now we've got Dr. Dankenstein! Come drink some!

*Why yes, it does have a stupid story behind it, thanks for asking

In Which Jeff

Well hi there! It's that dang ol' time again - time to ramble on and on about all the cool things what we got doin' aroun' these here parts!

And first on that ol' list o' happenin's is Jeff! Jeff is almost here! Jeff.

Then on Thursday we're trussin' up our trusty cask and this week it's Out of Bounds! That sucker's been flyin' off the draft lines since we tapped it, so we're right stoked to try it with a lil' added dab of peachy ol' Idaho 7! Come drink some with us!

Also on Thursday we're doin' up more Simpsons Trivia! And as an added "bonus," we just got in a new order of weird trivia prizes and whoa nelly are there some interesting choices this time around. Come win some and find out for yourself!

Then on Friday we're still keepin' that hand-pie-Friday train rollin' (sort of) with the (sort of) triumphant return of Jaju Pierogi! Their food is good and you will eat it.

Also on Friday, though a bit further afield, we'll be reppin' strong at the Original Gravity concert! This time around they're puttin' on an opera that we're told is Kind of a Big Deal* so we figured we'd roll with it and get Fancy with the beer we're bringin' so we're schleppin' a beer engine on over there to pour a cask of Oink that's been primed with pineapple juice and sweetened with lactose. Will it be any good? Who knows! We don't

* Truth be told, the only opera we actually know of is La Boheme, and that's only because it was mentioned in Trading Places.

In Which We Go On and On and On

Hello friends! It's finally that wonderful time of year again: Fake Spring! It's time to throw on some inadvisably-breezy clothing and pretend like you're not constantly shivering while you sit in the gray mist on the patio, and we've got just the beers to go along with it!

More to the point, we had an under-the-radar new release this weekend (which means it's on tap right now) that'll almost let you convince yourself it's spring as long as you don't look or go outside: On-On! Brewed as a celebration of running or fitness or something, this light 'n' easy smooth sipper goes down just as easy after a long run as it does after a well-earned mountain of nachos.

A fine accompaniment to all types of outdoor mischief.

And this week's trusty cask (on tap Thursday) is one for those of you who ain't fooled by this Decoy Spring: Pat Signal! We're once again trottin' out this beer that was straight-up made to be served on cask and this time around we're doin' it up old-school: no frills, no nonsense, just regular ol' Cask Goodness!

And speaking of cask goodness, it's finally NERAX time! For those of you who ain't "in the know" on this particular fun time, NERAX is an annual, almost-week-long celebration of all things cask. It's a ton of fun and we're always stoked to be a part of it, and this year we're reppin' strong with - you guessed it - a firkin o' Pat Signal! So if you're in the Southie area this week/weekend, we do suggest you stop on by.

The Bone Up crew will be making right proper fools of themselves during the Friday evening session.

And for fun times a little closer to home, this Thursday is the March installment of Audio Triviality! We're told that the theme this month is "movies," though we're not completely sure what direction he's gonna take with that (songs from soundtracks? Songs about movies, i.e. the entire Misfits catalog? Forcing us to watch him reënact scenes from his favorite movies? Who knows!), so come on out and test your extremely-specific knowledge against a buncha other nerds!

As our host Matt would say: "Holla!"

Then on Saturday we've got our cake friends from Sweetteeth Bakery comin' by with some sweet treats for you to eat! They make very good cakes, so you should probably eat some.

Keeping with our policy of always having cake around, we've got cake around!
