In Which it is Time to Get Comfy

1/31/2022

Howdy-do kids and squids! It's time for yet another roundup of all the fun stuff we got comin' atcha this week, so read on and read up!

First up on that dang ol' docket is a new beer that's coming out at some point this week (probably Friday, maybe Saturday) and that's Comfy Pants! We took our beloved Lazy Pants and decided to "remix" the recipe, and now we've got this tasty-ass farmhouse with a buncha chocolate and a spoonful of blackberry and a whisper of vanilla and it's good as heck and it'll be available in cans and on draft soon, so you should come have some with us!
Picture
This was definitely intentional and not something that happened because Jared apparently doesn't know how to read, that's for sure
In other, less exciting, beer news, we're gonna be keepin' on with our "every other week" cask program for the time being, which is to say that there will be no cask this week. But never fear, true believers - it'll be back next week!

But! In the event you were looking for something to look forward to on Thursday, this Thursday is Metallica trivia! Yes indeedy, this month's installment of Audio Triviality is laser-focused on the (arguably) most well-known of the "Big Four" in thrash metal so you best ride that ol' lightning over to your music player of choice and brush up on the adventures of "Jimmy Het" and "that guy that sued Napster a whole bunch" and also the other band members whose names we definitely know. Anyway, it'll be a fun time and we've got a newly-replenished stock of Stupid Trivia Prizes and you should come hang out!

And since we're talkin' trivia, it's worth our while to mention that we've got trivia happening every Thursday this month! That's pretty cool! Next week we've got more Simpsons Trivia, focusing on Season Two this time around, then the week after (the 17th) it's "Strange and Bizarre Facts" which will be fun but also difficult to study for, and then we're cappin' off the month with Cult Classic Movies on the 24th (which was rescheduled from last month because of Reasons) and anyway the point is that if you know a bunch of weird stuff about weird stuff you should probably come by on Thursdays!

And movin' right back closer to the here and/or now, we gots to mention that we've got HotChix back in the house this Saturday and honestly we don't even need to hype them up because you already know that their food is great, so come grab some!
Picture
Bonus points to any team that brings a banana to throw at Matt during trivia
And! Lastly! To give you a little "teaser" about some things that we've got "up our sleeves" for "future times," we might as well mention that we're dustin' off our menu-writing pants for one of our most-anticipated non-party events: Beer and Girl Scout Cookie pairings! Thassright, on two separate days (the first being Friday 2/18) we're gonna bring a crapton of cookies into the taproom and you'll be able to eat some of those cookies while you drink beers that have been expertly paired with them by our panel of experts!* Anyway that's in the future but we thought you should know so that you have adequate time to cancel all your other plans.
Oh! And! Lastly! For real this time! It's a new month, which means a new coloring contest, which means the announcement of the winner and runners-up from January!
Adequate work, everyone!
* There's a lot of overlap between "beer pairing expert" and "people who will go out of their way for free cookies," or at least there is around here.

In Which it is PIZZA TIME

1/25/2022

Well hey there! Welcome back to our blog! We've got a whole buncha cool stuff for you this week including new beers and fun times and tasty treats and all that, so let's get to it!
And speaking of beer (which we might have been?) last week (just after blog o'clock, as luck would have it) we released a new beer! It's an IPA named Pizza Time! and it features some of our favoritest, fruitiest hops we've found as of late (namely MI Copper and BRU-1, which have popped up in other beers on our menu here and there) and it's available on draft and in crowlers right now! Come drink some!
Picture
Sometimes you just need to celebrate the simple things in life, like pizza
And while we're on about delicious things that you should drink, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention cask! Yessiree, this Thursday we're tappin' up a cask of relatively-new-to-us Chaotic Gold! And since we like to "spice things up" when it comes to hoppy beers on cask, we "remixed" this beer with a heapin' helpin' of a totally different hop (namely Triple Pearl) and it's gonna be tasty as heck!
Picture
Cask returns after a one week hiatus and several bemused "Contact Form" entries
Speaking of Thursday, this Thursday is the (belated) return of Simpsons Trivia! This time around the questions will focus on Season One (bet you can't guess what next month's theme is) and that's a pretty short season (which is probably for the best, given the fact that the show very much hadn't found its groove yet) which means you've still got time to study up! And even if you don't it'll still be a fun time, so come on out!
Picture
wE hAvE nEw AnD hOrRiBlE pRiZeS
And while we're talkin' trivia, we've got another trivia night next Thursday (the 3rd)! This one's the February installment of Audio Triviality and Matt's gonna be settin' the spotlight on Metallica! This one's gonna be a good time and we (as in, "we, the authors of this blog, who compete in trivia under the team name The Management") are definitely ready for it because we didn't learn everything we know about Metallica from that pinball machine we used to have in the taproom,* that's for sure. Anyway it's gonna be fun and you should come!
Picture
This trivia night appears to have garnered some interest on the ol' Metabook or whatever, in which a user has started asking their own set of questions (such as "what year did Metallica start to suck?"), then answering them in the same comments.

P.S. He thinks it's 1991; your humble editor won't acknowledge anything after Master of Puppets.
Anyway. Settin' our sights back on this coming weekend, we've got a buncha tasty treats lined up for you! On Friday we have Sandwich Boy in the house slingin' delectable-ass fried chicken sandwiches and then on Saturday we've got The 'Nada Cart hangin' out with some tasty fried treats, and then on Sunday we've got the return of sushi classes with Chef Harold!
Picture
Anyway my point is that the snowstorm this weekend probably won't be that bad and anyway you won't even notice it if you sit in the part of the bar that doesn't have windows (and if you do sit in the windowed area, you get to laugh at people who are currently outside) so you should come hang out!
And! Lastly! We wanted to give a brief shoutout to some fun times from the recent past! For those of you who are fans of Unchained (our recent can release), you may be chuffed to know that Attest (the band that we collaborated with to make that beer) is currently playing shows and we got to go to one and it was really fun! The venue didn't have any Unchained (which was a bummer, but also understandable - we kinda didn't expect their beer buyer to base purchasing decisions off of bands playing the early show on a Monday) and our "photographer for the day" didn't get any pictures with the band (it was Jared and he's apparently a weird old man who is incapable of taking pictures that don't have his thumb over the lens) but it was a swell time nonetheless!
Picture
Anyway the point is that you should support local bands and local venues (if you can, and if you feel safe doing so, of course) and also if you know the beer buyers at said venues you should probably badger them into carrying our beer.
*Remember when it would play "Last Christmas" by Wham every time you got multiball and it would really weird some people out? Good times.

In Which a Trifecta of Barrel Aged Treats Graces the Menu

1/19/2022

Hello again! We're comin' back atcha with more tasty beers and fun times, but before we get to all that we should probably ramble about some new-ish beers that we kinda forgot to mention around here in blogland (we got all wrapped up in the Horatio Day excitement and, well, you get it) and also we've got an administrative note or two so let's get on with it before we get to it!
Picture
Let us gather in a circle for storytime
First on up, until further notice we'll be operating under (slightly) shorter winter hours. Turns out there's not a lot of midday or late-nite shenanigans going on in the dead of winter, so we might as well trim an hour from either end on weekdays.
Picture
Feel free to prove us wrong and bang down the garage door at 12pm every weekday
Secondly, as you may have already heard, we're requiring proof of vaccination status from all bar guests. For most of you, the biggest hassle in this change is that we're also now making everyone enter through the lobby, which seems to be confusing and/or annoying for a much larger percentage of people than we would have guessed, but also it helps keep the heat in so we'll call it an overall win. Anyway, yeah, bring your vax card or a photo of it or use the new MA vax status site that they just put up or... whatever, you get the idea. C'mon, be a team player, throw your mask on, and support your local bartenders!
Picture
Remember, it's not forever
Anyway, moving on! It turns out that we released several wonderful barrel-aged beers on and/or around Horatio Day and then we... forgot to mention them? Because it was Horatio Day? That logic aside, we'd like to correct our grievous error and shout about some cool new-ish beers!
Picture
If you didn't get a chance to try these beauties during Horatio Day, now's your chance!
First on up, on tap and in bottles right now is Critters XV! This here's a light 'n easy moderately-funky wild ale with a punch of pineapple to brighten things up and it's downright delightful!

And speaking of Critters, we've also got Critters XVI in bottles right now and on draft soonish (i.e. whenever Critters XV kicks) and this iteration in the series was made with pink guava and wildflower honey and it's a bit more full and funk-forward than its predecessor but a little variety sure ain't a bad thing and we predict you gon' enjoy!
Picture
Behold the delicious evanescence!
And moving on into "clean" barrel-aged beers we've got a terrific trio to shout about, so hold on to your hats!

First up is Jam Session which is a very barrelly Belgian barleywine that spent a good long time in a bunch of whiskey barrels from our friends over at Short Path and whoo-ee is it tasty! It's packin' a buncha that dark fruit and sweetness that you'd expect and then there's just a whack of whiskey hiding right behind it and anyway it's in bottles right now and it'll be on tap at some point and it's good and you should have some!
Picture
Just a malt bomb of barrel goodness
And speaking of beers that are good and also in bottles right now, we also recently released Benevolent Beast! While similar in color to Jam Session, the similarities start and end there. This is a complex-ass blend of beers (there's like five different things in there) that plays it more subtle on the oak and brings out fun stuff like fruitcake and maybe a whiff of smoke (or did I just imagine that?) and anyway this one is also good!
Picture
Embrace the beast. The beast loves you
And lastly but far from leastly, we also released Ginger Occasion and it's also in bottles right now! You're probably familiar with how we do barrel-aged ginger-forward beers at this point, and this one is no exception (if it ain't broke, and all that), but for those of you who might be new in town we'll lay it out a bit. In short: we take our beloved Ginger Spectacular (a farmhouse ale on the strong side of the spectrum) and age it in a variety of different barrels where it picks up lovely notes of vanilla and oak and sometimes a little fruitiness and maybe a hint of toasted coconut if we're lucky and then... that's about it, actually, because then we drink it! And now you can too!
Picture
A delicious beer for ANY occasion
And movin' back a bit into the here and/or now and/or future-ish times, we've got some stuff goin' on this weekend that we gotta tell you about!

First on up, this week's trivia night (cult classic movies) will be postponed until Thursday February 24th for reasons you can probably guess. Also we won't be having a popup on Friday, though that one seems like the decision was precautionary rather than reactionary. But! Never fear! Simpsons trivia is probably still on schedule for next Thursday so you'll still be able to get trivial, you'll just have to wait a little bit.

And while we're on the whole "moderate bummer" tip, we should probably mention that we won't be tapping a cask this week. What with all the stuff getting canceled left and right,* we figure it makes a bit more sense to make casks a Sometimes treat, so we'll be back next week with more cask goodness!

Anyway, moving on into the weekend, we've got HotChix back in the house on Saturday! They'll be swingin' through and dishin' out some deliciousness from 6-10, so come on by!
Picture
Don't tell the other pop ups, HotChix might be our favorite
And then this Sunday is the first Sunday in a while that we haven't hosted a sushi class, so instead we're hosting a calligraphy class! More specifically, Sip & Script is in the house to teach you how to write words real good (the lessons also come with supplies) and it sounds pretty rad and you should come check it out!

We may be sold out of tickets at the time of writing, but you can double check that here:
Sip & Script Calligraphy

* At this rate we should probably bring back virtual events, even if it's just the low-key Friday night ones we used to do.

2021: Year in Numbers

1/12/2022

Howdy friends! We're back in action with our favorite (ok fine, Jared's favorite) annual tradition on this ol' blog and that's The Year In Numbers! We actually had some big(ish) plans for it this year, but - as always - there was a bit of a monkey wrench thrown into everything recently. So we'll get to all the number nonsense in a bit, but to start us off let's hear more about that metaphorical monkey wrench!
Picture
In case you hadn't heard from one of our various social medias, we were closed yesterday (Tuesday) because we had a staff member test positive for covid. Honestly, you've probably definitely heard this song-and-dance from a buncha different places already, but the gist of it is that we want to keep our staff and customers to be as safe as possible so we're making sure that people get tested and we're just all-around following the CDC guidelines on how we're supposed to handle this. (As an aside, the CDC guidelines have... changed substantially since the last time we had to read them. They used to say something like "everybody has to isolate in an underground bunker for a month after any possible exposure" and now they kind of just say "get back to work," which is either encouraging or terrifying depending on how you look at it. Though it's probably not a great sign that the official guidelines called us "a bunch of entitled millennials"). Anyway the point is that we're doing everything we can to keep safe - everybody who tested positive is at home with mild symptoms, and they'll stay away from work until they test negative. We're back up and running in the taproom, and everybody on the schedule right now is testing negative and we sure as heck aim to keep it that way!
Picture
And while we're on about bummer times, in unrelated-but-coincidental news: this month's Simpsons Trivia is postponed. It was originally scheduled for Thursday, but some Life Events got in the way, so instead it'll be Thursday January 27th. Sorry for the short notice, but at least you can still flex your Season One knowledge in a couple weeks!

Aaaaand one more cancellation/bummer note: the Sandwich Boy popup that was scheduled for Friday has been canceled. But never you fret - they'll be back in the taproom slingin their delicious sandwiches in a couple weeks (on Friday January 28th, as luck would have it)!

Okay. So. With all that out of the way, let's move on to the fun stuff and the first fun stuff is cask! This time around it's most peoples' favorite beer to have on cask (and your humble blogger's second favorite, but I know I'm in the minority here) and that's Shut Up Kelly! We'll be tappin' that ol' cask on Thursday and pouring until it runs dry, so come on out and drink some with us!

Then movin' on into the weekend, on Saturday we've got The Nada Cart in the house slingin' some tasty-ass empanadas and then on Sunday we've got Chef Harold back in the house to lead y'all through another sushi class!

And speaking of Sunday, it's worth mentioning that since this is a holiday weekend, we'll be open on Monday from 12-8pm instead of 3-11pm. Come on out!

And moving a little farther into the future, next Thursday (the 20th) we've got more trivia! This time around the focus is Cult Classic Movies! Knowing our host, it'll likely focus on horror and comedy with a few action movies thrown in, but we've been wrong before so come prepared!
Picture
And now it's the time that nobody has been waiting for: time for the Year In Numbers! If you're new around here, the gist is that we look back on the past year and come up with a bunch of interesting and/or silly stats about what we did over the course of the year. We think it's a fun way to put the past year into perspective (or at least Jared does, because he thinks that "numbers are fun" like a completely normal person) and we had meant to come up with some five-year stats* since 2021 was our fifth full year in operation. But then... well, you (presumably) read the blog post up top, you can see how maybe some things might get deprioritized. And we thought about pushing that to next week, but... January 12th is already too late in the year to be running retrospectives. It's kind of weird to be reminiscing about the past year in what is effectively February. Anyway, that's really neither here nor there and now I'm just throwing a bunch of words at you when I promised numbers so here's the numbers!

* Some examples:
Number of actual, literal dumpster fires: 2

2021 Year In Review (Part Two): Sometimes the Light at the End of the Tunnel is an Oncoming Train

1/4/2022

Hello again! We're back in action and ready to rock with the remainder of our retrospective on the past year, but first things first we gotta get to the here and now, so here's the now!

First on up we've got an important administrative note on our upcoming weekend o' fun, which is to say that all weekend we will be requiring vaccination cards at the door. You can bring a picture, obviously, but the point is that you need to be able to prove your vaccination status if you wanna hang out for Horatio Day (also it means that we'll need to make sure that people only enter/exit through the lobby, which has... proven difficult in the past). Also of note - we *probably* won't be making this a permanent thing (yet) - we're not usually crowded enough that it's warranted, but we figure the extra steps are needed this weekend to keep everybody as safe as we can.
Picture
And on that note, you should come on out to Horatio Day! We'll be tappin' a bunch of rare and/or barrel-aged beer and we're bustin' out some extra draft lines so we can tap up a whole mess of fancy beer and there's fancy glassware and cake and everything and we're bringin' in some food friends to keep you fed and it's gonna be a great time! We'll have HotChix in the house on Friday and then on Saturday we've got Bonetown bringin' the barbecue and we're finishing off the weekend with Lionheart Confections on Sunday and honestly that makes it a pretty tough decision about which day you should come, which means you should probably just join us for the whole dang weekend!
Picture
Come numb your existential pain with us!
And movin' back to a bit before the weekend (sorry, I get excited sometimes), this Thursday we're tappin' a cask! This time around we took one of our favorite beers to cask up (Extra Naked, which is the best beer for cask. Fight me) and tossed in a bunch of subtly fruity tasty-ass Bitter Gold and it's gonna be good as heck and you should come try some!
Picture
GIMME
And speaking of Thursday, Thursday is also the day for this month's installment of our music trivia series: Audio Triviality! Matt told us the theme is "aliens, pirates, and ninjas" which should make for an interesting evening but you ain't gotta take our word for it because you should join us!

Oh! And! I got so excited talking about Horatio Day that I forgot to mention we're hosting another sushi class on Sunday!
Picture
Sushi Sundays are starting to spoil us.
And before we start finishing up on looking back, it behooves us to point out that next Thursday is Simpsons Trivia night! This time around we'll be focusing on a different season every month and it's all kicking off with Season One! That one's a short season, so it's easy to brush up and also it's chock-full of some hilariously dated pop culture references, so check it out and then come flex your Simpsons knowledge!

2021 Year in Review (Part Two)

And now that we're done with all the upcoming events, it's time to pick up where we left off on our 2021 Year In Review. When we last met we were really rampin' up on the birthday party planning in...

...July when, amidst shouting about our upcoming birthday party, we kept bringing back the last little bits of "normalcy" to our taproom! "It seems like this whole covid situation is starting to get better," we said, like a bunch of big stupid idiots. "Maybe we're finally through the worst of it," we said, pretending like we weren't lying to ourselves.
Picture
Anyway, regardless of whether or not we were right when we said that, we were right when we decided to bring back the coloring contest! It may not seem like a significant detail, but it legitimately brings us joy to see people submitting their coloring entries every month, and it's something we sorely missed when it wasn't around.
Picture
We also got new hoodies which might seem like a weird thing to do in July but also we wanted them and they're rad as hell so whatever.
Picture
And speaking of sweet merch, July was also the month that we started getting all the sweet merch for our upcoming fifth birthday/anniversary party and also we started brewing/releasing beers for said party but there's a lot more to be said about that in...
Picture
...August when we celebrated FIVE YEARS of the taproom being open!
Picture
But that was at the end of the month, and the first parts of the month were packed full of beer garden fun times and a dog pool party and we brewed/released so many band beers, on account of how we were going as all-out as possible with the live music celebrations this year!
Picture
On a less exciting (but still pertinent) note, a bit of a shadow was cast across our future plans, as we kept hearing more and more about this "delta variant" that was making the rounds. And haha oh man remember when Delta was the Big Scary Thing and we expected that there might be more restrictions or at least we'd need to require vaccine passports and then... nobody did anything? Good times and thank Hops there were no adverse consequences to continuing on the "let's pretend covid is over" track. Anyway the important thing is that we didn't let that rain on our parade too much because we got to celebrate our birthday at the end of the month!
Picture
And since this was a big occasion (five years! Somehow!) and since we hadn't gotten to do anything fun the year before, we went as big as we could feasibly go! In 2019 we had seven bands in one day, which was rad but also a logistical nightmare, so this year we had NINE bands over the course of THREE DAYS (totalling eleven sets if you count the bands that played twice) and we had tasty food all weekend and brought in a buncha rad vendors and people were having so much fun that they didn't seem to notice that it was raining for several hours on Saturday and we had our first-ever mosh pit and some dude lost his shoe in a puddle in said mosh pit and an ice cream showed up unannounced at the end of the night one night and for reasons I'm still not completely clear on we now own a cloak covered in weird runes (we definitely did not have it before the party, and now we can't get rid of it) and we got to hang out with a bunch of old friends and make some new friends and drink a whole mess of tasty beer and we can't wait to do it again! And lucky for us, we were able to keep that Good Vibes train rollin' in...
Picture
...September when we brought back even more things from the Before Times! Yes indeedy, cask was back (again) and we had the first in-person trivia night in eighteen months or so (specifically Audio Triviality, hosted by our very own Bananamasher)!
Picture
And since September is the month when we start to shift from "beer garden fun times" to "let's hunker down where it's warm," (though we certainly didn't stop outdoor events yet) we started bringing back food popups (including some taproom favorites like Matilda's and Mr. Tamole) and cooking classes became a regular feature on the ol' event calendar!
Picture
And in beer news, we had the honor of getting to brew a wedding beer for two longtime Friends Of The Taproom - Brian and Amy - and since Brian apparently goes by "Kaboobi" the beer was called Kaboobi's Top Score!
Picture
And in less-exciting beer news, September was the month that we announced that two of our year-round beers - namely Key Lime and Wasted Life - would be relegated to Seasonal status. It was a decision we'd been pondering on for months and years, and passing the Five Year Mark seemed like the appropriate time to reëvaluate and move on into the future instead of shackling ourselves to the past or whatever (and also Wasted Life had a frustrating tendency to rely on hops that ended up becoming impossible to get, but that's really only part of it). And speaking of looking toward the future, there's plenty more of that in...
Picture
...October when we decided that we should continue bringing back all the stuff we used to love doing in the taproom!
Picture
That meant we brought back Simpsons Trivia for the first time in pretty much forever and we re-brewed Green Smoothie for the first time in even longer than that and there was another dog costume contest!
Picture
Our beloved beer and candy pairing got turned into an Everett Bar Crawl kind of situation (which, against our own wishes, was named "trick or treating adult style" or something like that) only this time we (and once again "we" refers to several businesses working in tandem, as opposed to just us at Bone Up) tried to learn from our previous mistakes vis-a-vis underordering swag for the passport completion, and instead decided that the reward for completing the bar crawl passport would be the friendships you made along the way.
Picture
Also in terms of actual new stuff and not just bringing back old favorites, we got to have a release party for The Sachem's Ale! We brewed this beer for the band Dzö-nga and they came and hung out and drank beer and played music and we had a buncha fun!
Picture
And while we're on about fun times, there's plenty more of those in...
...November when we tried to shake off the "cold weather blahs" with one of our favorite pastimes: celebrating made-up holidays! We started off mid-month with a weekend-long event to celebrate the rerelease of our beloved wintertime chocolate orange stout: El Pulpo!
Picture
That also coincided with the release of our vaguely-holiday-themed mix pack. We didn't have a holiday for that, because it was meant to accompany the name brand holidays that you already know about, but I still think it was rad, so there you go.
Picture
Anyway, while Pulpo Day featured a bunch of vintage beer and some barrel-aged releases, we also had a big ol' release day full of new (and/or returning) barrel-aged beers and that's Shitty Wednesday! This sort-of-made-up holiday is meant to help ease the pain of driving and/or existing on the day before Thanksgiving (as opposed to our traditional Thanksgiving beer pairings, which will help you get through Turkey Day and/or get you arrested if you actually try them) and we feel like the best thing to dull that particular pain is barrel-aged beer!
Picture
We also did another Hartshorne event and we released new flannels and ugly-sweater-style Krampus shirts and anyway there's a lot more swag to be had in...
Picture
...December when, all things considered, it was kind of a slow month, but also that's what December is for. Anyway we thought it would help with the December Doldrums if we gave you an excuse to come out to the bar for several hours under the guise of "holiday shopping," all while supporting local businesses and artists, so we launched our Holiday Market series!
Picture
Every weekend we brought in a couple local vendors and had them set up shop in the taproom and at the very least we acquired an unreasonable amount of art because of that and anyway it was a good time! And on the beer front, we made the extremely-business-savvy decision to release two more dark beers in cans!
Picture
The first was a vanilla cinnamon imperial stout named Dark Humor, which was brewed for the band SkyTigers, who was a last-minute addition to our birthday party music roster (and it maybe took us a little while to fit that beer into our production schedule, but we brew a beer for every band at our party god dammit) and the second was a caramel porter brewed for a cute lil' pup named Ozzy and honestly we find cute dogs to be very persuasive and sometimes that's all it takes to get us to brew beers for/about them.
Picture
But that's certainly not the end of dog beers around here, as there's plenty more to be had in...

...the future. But we'll get to that when we get to it.
Picture
Right now is usually the time when we look back fondly on the year that's passed and we talk about how lucky we are and all that but this year kind of sucked, huh? Before we took the time to read* through a year's worth of blog posts we pretty much remembered the year as being kind of a slog, but it turns out that the uncertainty and stress of the first half of the year had already started to fade from our memories and the part of the year that was a slog was the *good* part.
Picture
But even when things were at their most dismal we were able to find some bright spots and being able to share that with y'all was a big part of what kept us going. It's pretty unlikely that anybody was anxiously awaiting their chance to watch Jared semi-drunkenly ramble about the history of mild ale on a Zoom call, but we had a few people join us every week during the Dark Times and honestly that was really all we could hope for.
Picture
And I guess the point here is that we are lucky - we get to spend our time doing something we care about, and it just so happens to be something that resonates with people. Over the years we've gotten to meet/know a whole bunch of wonderful people - staff and regulars and people who we see every now and then and people who are passing through that we get to hang out with for just one night and we've gotten to make a bunch of weird beer and host some ridiculous events and travel to exotic places like Pittsburgh and work with people we never thought we'd cross paths with and I guess my point is that we've gotten to do a lot of extremely cool shit and we couldn't have done it without you.
Picture
We just want to brew some tasty beer and show you a good time, and we're glad you're enjoying it! We're looking forward to keep this weird little train rolling for as long as the wheels stay on, and we're stoked that you're along for the ride!
Picture
* I would say "reread," but that implies that we read them the first time.
