Howdy all! It's been a big ol' week this week full of eventful events and forward motion on our Big Plans, so we'll cut the shuck and jive and get on with the ramblin'!
This past Monday we passed the half-year anniversary of this dang ol' taproom bein' open and we just could not be more chuffed! In true Bone Up Style, we celebrated by realizing at the last minute and then pretty much just getting on with business as usual.
But! It just to happens that business as usual brought forth some unusual business in the form of an entirely-coincidental semi-anniversary present: those new fermentors we've been talking about nonstop for months! They're here! They're so cute and stubby! Look at them! Look at them.

So much awe, even more wonder (specifically, wondering where the hell this thing would fit)
According to the owner of QTS, these are the tanks "everyone wants to adopt and take home because they're so tiny and cute."
Admittedly, it'll still be a little while before they're up and running, but nevermind that for now. We got shiny tanks! Just like a real brewery!* This is a huge step forward for us in terms of being able to make more beer more consistently (both in terms of consistent process and consistent final product), and it's a harbinger of a blissful future day when our behind-the-scenes brewery tours aren't mostly comprised of apologizing.

And as an additional coincidental half anniversary present, we got some kickass new art for the taproom! It's been a goal of ours for a while to showcase the talents of local artists, and we're startin' strong with some works from Ricardo Pereira! In addition to the sweet Horatio painting you see below, we'll also be showcasing some of his other works (which will be available for sale if you so desire) as soon as we figure out how to hang them up without ruining our walls or the pieces themselves!
Despite what the picture might suggest, Horatio isn't wearing blush in the actual painting.
And on the off chance that you haven't had enough of us retroactively deciding that things are "anniversary related," we've got a special food popup comin' up this Saturday! We're gettin' our s'mores game back in action and we're bustin' out the big guns: Sweet Lydia's is puttin' on a spread from 2-8pm! If you're in the mood for all the gourmet s'mores, marshmallows, and candy bars your facehole can handle, you'd best get yourself over here before they sell out!

And in the event that your tastes swing more towards savory, we got you covered! On Thursday we've got pizza from Sillari's (as is our custom), on Friday we're hosting the Roadies Diner truck from 5-10 (in the first installment of the Month of the Sandwich), and on Saturday and Sunday we'll be slingin' pretzels from Fat Boyfriend until they sell out!
And if that weren't enough for ya, we've got a new beer coming out this weekend! Jimbo's had a hankerin' to make a Warrior single hop as of late,** so we done brewed up this little beast for you! And based on our rigorous sensory analysis,*** we have determined that this beer is quite a treat! Burstin' with notes of orange candy and light whiffs of dried herbs,**** Come Out and Play is one of the more interesting singles we've put in front of you yet. On tap Thursday at 3pm!

And! And! We've got another cask coming your way, and it's a doozy! Though it's sold out in the taproom, we've got a pin of The Monarch sittin' pretty over at Maverick Cafe. Jared will be there tomorrow (Thursday) night pouring, and you should go and say hello! The cask gets tapped at 7pm, and once it's sold out it's gone forever!
