In Which Things Get Spicy Around Here

Howdy, campers! It's been a hell of a week what with the snow and the falafel and more snow that indirectly caused a visit from the fire department,* but we persist! Ain't no weather gonna stop us from doin' what we do (which, thankfully, has involved a lot of snacking as of late). 

And speaking of snacks, we have news! Hot sauce news! After much preparation,** we're ready to announce the start of Hot Sauce Nation! The details, presented in convenient*** Q&A format:

What's the deal here?
It's a community supported hot sauce club! Basically, we're building a big collection of hot sauce and we want to share the bounty but we ain't here to support moochers. So if you want summa dat spicy action, you gotta contribute!

How do I sign up?
Easy peasy! Just bring in a bottle of hot sauce (something good, not some bullshit you got at the gas station. Anybody who brings Tabasco will be sassed until our throats are sore), we'll give you a membership card, and you're on your way to Flavor Towne!

What's the point of all this?
We've been servin' up more food in the taproom these days, and it doesn't all come with hot sauce. We're aiming to fix that! 

Is this just a ploy for you guys to get free hot sauce?
Yes. 

Seriously?
Not really. We'll definitely be dippin' in from time to time, but odds are this'll be primarily staff-supported (we got a few bottles to start things off, then we got excited and ate most of them). ​

And speaking of spices, this Friday starting at 5:30 we're hosting relative newcomers to the Boston food truck scene, Roadies Diner! We're unfamiliar with their eats as of yet, but they specialize in Latin American sammiches and we've been hearin' some solid reviews, so we suggest you swing on through and get your grub on so's you can decide for your dang self!

We plan to move clockwise around the menu until there ain't no more menu.

And for your sippin' pleasure (possibly to pair with the aforementioned sandwiches, assuming it lasts that long), we'll be tappin' our first official cask this Thursday! We've had a pin of Chance conditioning in the corner for these past few weeks and she's finally ready to rock! Unless of course we did something wrong, which is entirely possible because we've never done this before. But never you mind that, we're keepin' our Optimism Pants on and the tappening shall proceed as planned! Probably!

And if that all weren't enough for y'all, this Sunday we're bringin' Fat Boyfriend Bakery back through for some brunch action, and this time it's French Toast Day! So put on your best elastic waist pants and shuffle on in, 'cause we're gonna gorge ourselves silly just like god intended!

That's all the toppings we could fit in the square. There may be more. We get carried away sometimes.

As for the fabulous Land of Production: things are a bit still for the time being, but not for long! We just heard that our new fermentors are "entering inspection," which means they should be gettin' packed and shipped next week! Then all we need to do is finish a jillion things to get them in service (including but not limited to getting more power in the building), then we'll be ready to rock out and get on with the brewin'!
