Hello friends! Here's all the new beers and fun stuff and tasty treats we got goin' on this week! First up, on tap right now is Out of Bounds IPA! We collabbed up with Thomson Country Club to make a beer extra special just for their clubhouse, and we're givin' y'all a sneak preview in our dang ol' taproom! Designed with outdoorsy springtime fun in mind, sweet ‘n nutty malts balance out a hop profile featuring fruity Idaho 7 and citrusy Centennial. It gon' be good. Then on Thursday we're tappin' up a cask of a new favorite around these parts: Snail the Pale! And while we think this lil' ol' beer is just dandy without anything added to it, we went on ahead and jammed a buncha CrysCade hops (from our friends at Four Star Farms, of course) in there anyway! So come on out and get while the gettin's good - this cask (along with its draft counterpart) is soon to be a fond memory around these here parts. And since we thought you deserved a lil' somethin' extra on Thursday, we're doin' another trivia night and this time around we're bringin' in a friend of the brewery to grill y'all on the ins and outs of Futurama! And in case you need snacks while you're gettin' trivial (and who doesn't need snacks?), we've also got Brato up in the house servin' up futuristic grilled cheeses or something! Then on Friday we're bringin' in new-to-us JA Patties for - you guessed it - Jamaican hand patties! And since we don't know them all too well yet, we fully intend to give them a true Bone Up Welcome by shoveling all of their food into our mouths at the first chance we get, and we highly recommend you do the same! Then on Saturday we got some double popup action for all y'all! What's more, they're both tried-and-true favorites that need no further introduction: first up - startin' at 3 PM - is Speakeasy Donuts! Then hot on their heels starting at 6 PM ish is Matilda's! I daresay there will be lots of good tastes. And finally, on Sunday, we're once again bustin' out the big guns: Girl Scout Cookie Flights! Startin' at noon and lasting through most of the day (or until y'all eat all our damn cookies), we'll be dishin' up beer flights paired with cookie flights (with cookie proceeds going to a local Girl Scout troop, of course), so if you got yourself a sweet tooth (or if you missed it last time around), come on by and get snackin'!

Howdy do, cats and kittens! We're right-on rockin' and rollin' with the fun times and tasty things and that's been a dang ol' party so let's do some more of that! First up - in case you missed it - we bid a final farewell to our beloved Estate this past weekend. But never you fret! We got more hoppy goodness comin' atcha in the form of the Royal Sampler! You regular readers out there* are almost certainly familiar with our misfit/"smoothie" IPAs, and this one follows a pretty similar format: we gathered up a whole mess o' different hops and maybe a lil' extra somethin' and jammed this big ol' beer fulla that hoppy goodness until it was burstin' at the dang seams and now we've got a beer that's got all kinds** of fruitiness all up ins! Anyway it's on tap right now and you should drink it! Also on tap right this very minute is this year's iteration of Big Boots! Even though we have women involved in every part of Bone Up on a daily basis, once a year we wrangle a group o' ladies together to brew a batch of beer celebrating their role in our little corner of the industry, and every year it's been a bigger group! The 2019 batch of Boots is a dry hopped farmhouse ale featuring all of our favorite things: oats for a smooth body, tangy wheat, and a new-to-us hop variety: peachy 'n fruity Idaho Gem. Go on, try it! Anyway, looking into the all-too-distant future that is Thursday, we're tappin' up a cask of a beer that was friggin' made to be run through the ol' beer engine: Pat Signal! And to celebrate its first appearance on cask (out of three, if you count NERAX, which we do), we're puttin' on the cask that's been fortified with Amandine-soaked oak chips! We fully expect that Pat himself will be able to sense this cask being tapped, and will materialize at the bar the moment it's ready. Also on Thursday, we're continuin' our Month O' Trivia with more trivia! This time around, it's all centered around old-school cartoons, so if you cut your chops on them Looney Tunes and/or Merrie Melodies, come on out and show off your smarts! Then on Friday we got us another hand pie day with more pastelitos from Matilda's! And if you're lookin' for some meat in your mouth on Saturday, we've got the Bacon Truck back up in for all your cured meat needs! And then. Lastly but far from leastly. This Sunday is the return of Chicken 'n' Waffles! If you wanna get your sweet 'n savory fix for brunch times, search no further (but I'd recommend getting here early, they sold out right quick last time)! Oh, and we saved the best news for last! We! Are! Hiring! If you'd like to join our wonderful bartending/event team on a part time basis, send your resume and cover letter over to us (Liz and Jared) at info@boneup.beer! * Both of you.
** OK fine, maybe not all kinds, but at least several kinds. Maybe as many as 20 kinds. Howdy and hello! We've got a weekend that's jam-packed* fulla fun and/or tasty times and a draft list that's jam-packed fulla new beers, so here we go! The first new addition to our draft list is the Pat Signal! We're full-on preppin' for a lil' ol' festival that's comin' up in a few weeks (namely NERAX, which just so happens to be our favorite fest 'round these parts) so we did up a beer that's gonna be a surefire solid sip o' suds on cask and we named it in honor of the biggest cask fan ever to grace one of our barstools (hi Patrick!)! Anyway, Pat Signal's a lightly roasty, hella bready lil' brown ale that's just gonna tear up that beer engine, I tell ya what, but you ain't gotta wait around for the cask because it's on draft and I'll be durned to heck if that ain't a tasty tipple too! Dananananananana dananananananana patmaaaaan, patmaaan... And if you're more a fan of the heavy hitters and/or beers that are moderately ridiculous, we also tapped Fancy Pants! We said goodbye to our beloved Lazy Pants and got all kindsa fancy with a wild ride through Flavor Towne** that's just downright tasty! So fancy. Speaking of tasty, this Thursday we've got the return of Haley on cask! This time around it's no muss, no fuss - just Straight Up Haley Goodness and we gon' drink it. And if you're lookin' for something to do with your hands/brain while you gulp down a bunch of Haley, you should come on out to Simpsons Trivia starting at eight! Then on Friday we're keepin' the hand-pie-Friday train rollin' with the return of our pierogi friends from Spoko! Blessed. Then on Saturday we've got a whole host o' treats for y'all, including another dang new beer! That's right - this Saturday is the Official Launch Day for the beer that some of y'all got to see in Sneak Preview Mode last week: Oink! Brewed with bacon in mind, Oink! is a wheat beer made with malts that were smoked over bourbon barrel staves and oh man is it so smoky and delicious. I bet it would go pretty well with bacon... Also on Saturday, we've got the Bacon Truck comin' by all afternoon with meat treats! I bet those meat treats would go pretty dang well with Oink! And if you're not the meat type but you still wanna get your grub on, we've got Farmhouse Burger Co. slingin' veggie burgers startin' at six! AND. Lastly. If you wanna escape the green-beer amateur-hour crowd on Sunday, we're bringin' in new-to-us Jim's Kabob with falafel and hummus and other Mediterranean treats! You know. Traditional Irish fare. * Or should I say HAM packed! (... i'll see myself out)
** Is that phrase copyright Guy Fieri? Wouldn't surprise me if it was. Well hello again, one and all! How are you? We're great, thanks for asking! We had a dandy ol' time on Kafka Day and we sure hope you did too! We appreciate you braving the "storm of the century" (which ended up being some flurries and little else) to come drink fancy beer with us, so we hope you enjoyed it! We love you guys. And speaking of fancy beer, this weekend we said a (temporary) goodbye to a few old friends - FAO and Joybringer, to be precise - and while we're sad to see them go, we're stoked as all get out to tap some new (and/or new-ish) stuff! First on that there list - on tap right now - we're keepin' Melvin the Mammoth on tap for a spell! Melvin's a barleywine that was a doozy to make, but that violent fermentation gave us a delicious, malty reward. We've only tapped this caramelly ol' boozebag in fits and spurts in the past, and we figured that now's a great time to let it stretch its legs a bit and make some new friends! Look at that color. Also on tap right now is Snail the Pale! We sure do love us some pale ales, so we made one and it's hella tasty! Come drink some with us! Pictured: your RDA of deliciousness. And speaking of new beers, we've got a couple rad things up our figurative sleeves for the coming weeks and months. We're preppin' up to bid a bittersweet farewell to a few things in the near future (notably Stone Valley and Lazy Pants and - slightly less soon - Joyrider), but we're all kinds of prepared up in here! Lazy Pants will be succeeded by its, um, fancier cousin: Fancy Pants! And our beloved Stone Valley will be replaced by a brown ale whose details are still very hush-hush, so that's all we gon' say for now. And! Next week we're gonna have The Bacon Truck up in here slingin' cured meats, so we brewed up a smoked wheat beer (named Oink!, naturally) to go with it! ANYway, getting back closer to now, let's talk casks! Since y'all out there in Cask Land are so good to us, we're givin' you a sneak preview and tappin' up the cask o' Oink! on Thursday! We have it on good authority that this beer's gonna be tasty as heck, but you ain't gotta take our word for it 'cuz you can try it your dang self! Oink oink oink! Speaking of Thursday, we're nigh-on approaching this month's installment of Audio Triviality! The theme this month is "beer," though I can't imagine where he would have gotten the idea to use such an outlandish topic. But speaking of trivia, March is (apparently) The Month of Trivia! We've got trivial goings-on every damn Thursday this month (and, on further reflection, most of them are about cartoons in some way or another), so come on out and flex them (useless) knowledge muscles all dang month! Movin' right on into the weekend, on Friday we got our friends from Matilda's dishin' up the fried treats! You should come eat some treats, you've earned it. And while we're on about fried treats, on Saturday we've got Three Kitchens Catering in with more wing flights! Get it? Wings? Flight? Anyway these chickens probably won't be flying anywhere because we're going to eat all of them. Ya dig? Anydangways, since we're just startin' to get all that lousy Smarch weather all up ins, that means that we've got coloring contest winners to announce! And it was a tough one this month because we had some Extremely Adequate entries, but we did our best and here's what we picked! First place to... "Steph's Roommate!" Great jorb! Our runners up!
