** And we've been largely ineffective at speeding up the timeline, as we're relying fairly heavily on some people who are hellbent on doing work at their own damn pace, thankyouverymuch.
Hello hello! With our little rain delay outta the way, work is pickin' back up out in our parking lot/dirt pile and things are startin' to look pretty durn good. It even vaguely resembles a deck! Equally importantly, we're makin' our last steps towards total readiness for that first brewday, and this time around that means orderin' up some yeast! Now, it may not sound too exciting that we "ordered some ingredients;" but in addition to being the most important part of the brewing process, yeast has the shortest shelf life of any of the ingredients, which means that brewing* is imminent! Probably! Our yeast company wanted to make sure you weren't left wondering about whether or not they like fermentation. Yeasties! What's more, our friends over at Original Gravity announced this season's concert lineup, and we're thrilled to say we're part of it! We's pleased as punch, we is - they've got a cool program and we're stoked to see what we'll be able to bring to it (and/or what they've got in store for us). For those of you not in the know, it's a concert series that pairs local composers with local breweries, which means we'll get to Get Weird in the brewhouse and make a beer to go with the music that'll be played. That sorta thing is right up our alley, so it should be a hoot! Now, those of you who have been following our progress for a while might know that we tend to be a bit... hesitant to make promises about when we'll be open (mostly because we've been consistently and repeatedly wrong about when that would be**), and that's still a valid point - this ain't real until we have permits in our hands and beer in our tanks. But thankfully, OG is aware of our Situation and is willing to roll the dice, so we'll see! * Or bitter disappointment, but let's not think about that one for now.

We are, and we are very optimistically rolling those dice! Comments are closed.
