Howdy-do, have we got some good beer and good times for you!
First on up, we got a new beer comin' out on Friday! This one's a lightly hoppy lil' amber ale that also happens to be the latest installment in our Puppers Past series and it's made in the memory of (and named after) a pup who (sometimes) went by the moniker of Sir Wallington! And of course we'll be doin' some charitable givin's in conjunction with this beer - dog glasses are just $3 with purchase of some Sir Wallington, and all three* of those dollars will get donated to a dog-related charity, so come drink some beer and do some good!
And speaking of Friday, this Friday evening we're once again doin' our weekly(ish) virtual beer spotlight, and this week we're focusing on two different single-hop beers: Barb (a pale ale made with the new-to-us French hop Barbe Rouge) and Play Date (a saison made with the popular-ten-years-ago hop Ekuanot®) and we'll be comparin' and contrastin' and talkin' shop about hops and it'll be a good time and you should come hang out! Moving right along, next weekend is the first weekend of Kafka Day! We'll be kickin' off the two-week-long (virtual) "holiday" on Friday (the 26th) with a super-limited-capacity** vertical tasting of El Pulpo (mostly barrel-aged, with one non-barreled beer for reference) and then we're followin' that up on Saturday (the 27th) with a beer and Girl Scout Cookie pairing!
And since this here Girl Scout Cookie pairing is a smidge different than what we've done in years past (back when "in person events" were a thing), it mayhaps behooves us a smidge to "give you the skinny" on what you can expect: in short, a ticket gets you a mixed four pack of beer and a pile of cookies (in four varieties) to pair with said beer! Then on Saturday afternoon we'll be firin' up some Zoom times and talking about beer and cookies and the pairing of said beer and cookies and we will understand if you get excited and eat all your cookies too soon, but it'll be fun to hang out and eat cookies so you should come hang out and eat cookies with us!
Then the weekend after next, we're comin' atcha with Kafka Day Week Two, when we'll be bringin' in Brato for a Fusion Beer Dinner on Friday and you know that they always bring the good tastes (and as an "added incentive" we'll be releasing a new barrel-aged beer just for this occasion. And also probably for a while after that because we made mind of a lot)!
