** Fortunately or otherwise, this does mean we'll be discontinuing the Costco-sourced big-brand dogs we've been slingin'. We'll always have a soft spot for them, but Brato blows them out of the water.
Oh hi there! I sure hope you're ready for some new beers and some fun events and some new beers brewed specifically for said fun events and also some snacks, because that's what we've got for ya! First up, on tap right now is a hoppy lil' delight that we're callin' Death Salon! Now, you might be thinking that we picked a pretty somber name* for such a light 'n' easy beer, but we've (sort of) got a perfectly good reason! See, the folks at Death Salon run a series of events along with their sister organization Order of the Good Death, who are dedicated to eliminating the collective cultural heebie-jeebies that we all have about death and dying. That might (as we've learned from experience) seem kind of weird and morbid, but we think it's a good cause and also it's run by some pretty rad people, so we decided to make a beer for it! Then after much soul-searching and a modest amount of debate, we pretty much just said "funerals have flowers at them, let's make a hella floral pale ale!" And yeah, fine, it's a bit of a stretch. YOU try coming up with a tasty-sounding death themed beer (ideally without illegally foraging nightshade from a cemetery, Jake). Speaking of collaborations, while we were hangin' with our friends from Brato and brewin' up a special beer for a special event (we've been sneaking samples of the beer and it's SO TASTY YOU GUYS and also we've been hearin' some cool ideas that the chefs have cookin' on the backburner in prep for The Showdown and basically it's gonna be completely fun as hell and you should come), we got to talking hot dogs (as one does). Anyway, the point is that as of Right Now we're servin' up Brato Hop Dogs** in the taproom! Anyway, speaking of things that hold a special place in our hearts, the cask this Thursday is Oh My! Throwback IPA! As always, as we are wont to do, we dry hopped the heck outta that sucker with a double fistful of piney, sticky, dank Comet! Space cask! Or something! Moving a bit further afield, we'll be pouring at Brews for Books - a fundraiser event for the Malden Public Library at the Malden Public Library - this Saturday! Libraries are important and we think you should come out and show some love by drinking tasty beers! * Or not, depending on how well you know us.
