Howdy do, kids and squids! It's time again to do a buncha cool stuff and drink some tasty beer and probably eat some snacks and anyway let's get to it!
First on up we've got our trusty Thursday cask and this one is yet another oddball that we're hella stoked to be tappin' up! You may recall a couple months ago when we tapped a "brett stock" cask (and if you don't recall, we made a base beer designed to end up in one of our wild fermentation barrels, only we squirreled some away in a cask before we funkified it) and anyway we're doin' that again! We used a different base recipe this time around (this one is lighter in color and body) and we dry hopped it with fruity ol' Paradigm which is a Michigan-grown hop (from our friends at Hang 'Em High Hops) that we've been itchin' to get to know better (it was the main/only hop in Where's Chris, if you remember that blast from the relatively-recent past) and anyway it's gonna be tasty as hell and you should drink some!
And speaking of tasty new beers, we figured we'd drop a little "teaser" that we're gonna have a tasty-ass new IPA on tap next week but you're gonna have to keep them eyes peeled if you want more sweet deets on that ol' beer!
And then moving on to Fun Times for the week, here are the fun times for the week! On Wednesday (also known as tomorrow) we're hosting our monthly Fiddle Jam Session! It's an open-invite hoedown where anyone with an instrument can come join in and play some old-timey tunes, so come on by and kick out some jams!
Then on Thursday we've got another monthly event comin' back around and this one's Simpsons Trivia! The theme for the month is "Homer" which is definitely not in any way a broad brush but that ain't matter because it's gonna be fun as hell (and also we just restocked the prize box, which means we've got more socks* if that's your thing) and you should come out!
And then gettin' into the Weekend Proper we've got Birria Gordita Tacos in the house on Friday slingin' their tasty tacos (and also birria ramen. Holy hell that ramen is so good) and then for the "early birds" we've got New Wave Yoga with Crystal on Saturday morning and then of course we have our regularly-scheduled Sunday sushi class and it's gonna be a fun weekend!

Things start off next Tuesday (the 18th) with a SOLD OUT performance by Members of Landmarks Orchestra right here in our very own taproom! And then next Wednesday (the 19th) we've got another Sip & Script Calligraphy Class in the house! And then next Thursday (the 20th) (which is also "the weed day") we're hosting Stoner Trivia! Matt's gonna be dishin' up a buncha 420-friendly questions and we've got some themed prizes that are for Novelty Purposes Only and definitely in no way encourage drug use** and also we'll have Seabiscuit in the house servin' up some tasty hand pies and that all actually dovetails nicely into next Friday when Chris from Light of Day is doing a Beer & Vinyl Pairing event (also ticketed) and also El Barbon Tacos will be in the house! And then next Saturday (the 22nd) we've got an event that's big enough to merit it's own paragraph and that's...
Record Store Day! Now, we know there's a lot of Intense Record People who like to wake up at a time of day that's early enough we still consider it to be "late" so they can wait in line at like six in the morning or something, but we really aren't "morning birds" or whatever the phrase is (and also we're not legally allowed to open early) so we're sticking to our suds and opening at a reasonable damn hour (noon) but that ain't gonna stop us from havin' some fun! Light of Day is gonna be bustin' out the biggest damn dollar bin this side of the Alps and they're settin' up some damn good deals on their non-Record-Store-Day-exclusive records and also they're gonna have a whole shitload of those Record Store Day Exclusive records that everybody's gonna be waking up in the middle of the night to line up for and also we're gonna have Seabiscuit here AGAIN and there's gonna be an all-vinyl DJ all afternoon and also we're releasing a whole beer for this event and my point is that it's gonna be a damn good time and you should come by!
* We were asked, rather enthusiastically, to return socks to the Simpsons Prize Bin and who are we to argue? The people (or, rather, one person) have spoken and the people want socks!
