In Which the Spooktacularity Heightens

​Howdy, cats and kittens! Gather 'round as we spin you a spooktacular yarn of fun times to come!

But before we get to them fun times, we have Important Snack Announcements for you! Starting this week (i.e. today) we're gonna have them big chewy pretzels from Fat Boyfriend Bakery every dang day! Plus chips and a buncha different types of salsa! So for those of you who wander in on a weekday and wanna get your munch on, now we've got you covered!*

This is but the first of many daily snacktacular delights we intend to roll out in the coming weeks!

And speakin' of weekdays, this Thursday we're tappin' another cask of Extra Naked dry hopped with Mass-grown Nugget! And we'll let you in on a spooktacular secret with this one: we like to say that we don't play favorites with our various casks (they're ALL special), but Extra Naked is pretty much the best on cask. Just so you know.

It's just so dreamy good

And if that ain't the sorta thing that strikes your fancy, this Thursday we're also releasin' an entirely new beer, complete with its own sweet glassware! The beer itself is a roasty toasty lil' brown ale called Mo'Biscuits!, and the glass is that purdy thing you see right below all these words! And what's more, we partnered with the Movember Foundation so's we could have this beer come with some charitable givin's! So if you fancy yourself some Mo'Biscuits and you wanna take that sweet glass home wit'cha, the money from said glass sale will be going to a good cause! Better still, the fine folks over at Movember will be gatherin' up a buncha Mo Bros** for some release day good times! Woo, etc.

Then on Friday we're bringin' in some of our comic book friends for an arch-enemies themed party! There's gonna be all kinds of good times and a costume contest and probably candy and - you guessed it - another dang beer release! In the spirit of the event, we cooked up somethin' that we thought would be the arch nemesis of that humble lil' brown ale what got released the day before (you may recall the details of that beer from the previous paragraph). And what sort of beer would have such animus towards a modest ol' brown ale? Probably some kind of purple, hoppy, boozy, tart abomination. So we made that! It's called Purple Smoothie! Try it on Friday!

And that's not all! Bonetown Burgers will be outside doin' what they do best (with a spooky special, no doubt), and we'll have a neighborhood-wide "passport" for your stamping pleasure - visit all three taprooms in the Fermentation District and get your card all stamped up to be entered in a raffle for some sweet FD merch!

Maybe don't put these two next to each other in your flight tray?

And what with all these charities and parties and other assorted goings-on, we straight-up forgot to mention that this week also marks the release of the first beer out of our new(est) tanks: Summoner! While goin' through the ol' hop freezer, we were struck by a hankerin' for the biscuity, citrus-forward pale ales that we grew up*** on, so we made one (and we threw in a lil' dash o' lupulin powder just to spice things up a bit)! It's a nice 'n' easy drinker that may just conjure up a memory or two of questionable decisions past (just like the good ol' days!). We'll be doin' what we can to get it on tap for Friday, but that's assuming that everything behaves the way it should (and it seldom does), so keep an eye out for it at some point!

I'm, like, weirdly stoked for this normal-ass pale ale. Anyone with me?

And on Saturday we're keepin' things rollin' with another cask, and this time it means double Bullhead all up in dis! Awww yeah.****

Probably 'bout as close as we're gonna get to the ever-elusive wet hop version of Bullhead!

*And for those of you who are concerned about the fate of our Pizza Thursdays, never fear: we sure as hell ain't gonna stop dishin' out them delectable-ass slices from Sillari's!
