Howdy-do kiddos and/or squiddos! If you're lookin' for good times galore, saddle up 'cuz that's what we gon' give ya! And if you ain't lookin' for good times galore, saddle on up anyway, because you deserve some good times.
And since we're talkin' about doin' it up and doin' it right, we sure as heck gotta "give you the scoop" on our trusty cask! This Thursday we're leanin' on in to that whole "summer" thing and tappin' up light 'n' bright lil' ol' Lawnchair! And since casks are a great opportunity for us to cram in some more of our favorite hops, we went and crammed in some of our favorite hops (namely Idaho 7)!
Not pictured: actual lawn chairs (it was raining that day)
And speaking of Thursday, it's the first Thursday of the month, which means more Audio Triviality! This month's theme is "death metal history," so get ready to hear some growly singing and probably some stories about all those metal-inspired-moral panics of the 80's!
Death metal trivai on 6/6: coincidence? Methinks not.
Then on Friday we're keepin' the rock 'n' roll party times goin' with the opening night of Images from the Pit, a photography show with a focus on the mosh pit! We'll be showin' works from three photographers, two of whom will be hangin' out for the evening (rather conveniently including the show's curator, our bartender/photographer/trivia host Matt). And to "sweeten the deal," we're gonna have Smoke Shop in here slingin' some tasty meats, and we're givin' y'all a sneak preview of Elmo before it resumes waiting patiently for a draft line to open up.*
Seriously, we are so stoked for this. And if lots of y'all come out, we'll do more of these!
What's Elmo, you ask? Why, it's the next installment in our Puppers Past series! It's a sneaky-smooth stout brewed to honor the memory of a dearly departed dog (who was named Elmo, if that wasn't obvious), and it's gonna be on tap soon! And also on Friday! Oh, and as is our way, Elmo comes in a Special Dog Glass that can be yours to keep for just $3 - and that $3 will go to a dog-related charity! So basically you should drink this beer and buy one or ten of these sweet glasses.
Seasonally appropriate, right?
Moving on and moving forward, if you ain't got plans on Monday you should probably come to this sweet beer dinner that we're doin' with The Oceanaire! There's gonna be hella seafood and good times and we even had their chef come here and help us brew up a special beer for it and everything!
* Protip: we're low on Joybringer, and it won't be back until fall, so you may wanna get while there's gettin' to get got.
