In Which We Announce Some Delicious Events and Autumnal Beers

Howdy campers! It's time again to talk about things we did and things that gon' be did, and boy howdy do we have some big stuff cookin'!

First off, this weekend will be the much-awaited* release of Bullhead, an easy drinkin' pint o' golden goodness! We wanted to make a beer that would help us celebrate the ongoing hop harvest - while simultaneously showcasing some tasty-ass grains from our new friends at Blue Ox Malthouse - so we dreamt up own spin on a classic Oktoberfest staple and brewed the heck outta this light-bodied yet malt-forward easy drinker! Since we ain't exactly about rigid adherence to style guidelines around here (and since the original style is a lager, which ain't exactly in our brewing wheelhouse), we also decided to go on ahead and chuck in a bucket or two fulla some fresh 'n' fruity hops from Four Star Farms, which ends up giving an overall impression of jam on toast.

And since we ain't brought y'all behind the scenes lately, we figured we'd babble atcha about what's been brewin' up and goin' down behind the velvet curtain. The big news is (as we've mentioned to a number of you in person): y'all are drinkin' so much of our beer that we need to expand our production! We're straight-up jazzed about this, since we weren't expecting to have the need/ability to do so just yet - but it's pretty much completely amazing to see that people are enjoying our beer!

And more production means (among other things) that we need more tanks, so we're gonna get us some shiny new stainless beauties** that we've been eyein' for quite some time now (yay! Shopping!). Now, this ain't the fastest of processes (becase of course it isn't), but once it's all said and done we'll be able to make good on several of the promises we've been bandying about - longer hours for the taproom (as we'll finally have enough beer to be open on weekdays), more one-offs (and hopefully we'll stop running out of flagships at inconvenient*** times), and the much-requested return of TBA IPA (formerly known as OHM)! We've got a whole heckin' bunch of work ahead of us, but rest assured: we're constantly striving to make our beer and our taproom better for you, the noble beer enthusiast.

And speaking of making our taproom a good place for hangouts, we've got some (mostly but not entiely food-related) good times up ahead! Next weekend, we're hosting the Northeast of the Border food truck for the first time, so be sure to swing through the taproom on Saturday evening (the 15th? I think?) for some taco-themed goodness. We're throwin' an open house with Modern Homebrew Emporium on Tuesday 10/18 for all you aspiring, casual, and serious homebrewers in the area - we'll give a behind-the-scenes tour of our production facility, answer some nerdy questions, and probably eat some pizza. And! We've got a pop-up with Cauldron Fermented Foods (the folks who make the mustard for our pretzels) in the afternoon/evening of the 22nd. But wait, there's more!**** As we mentioned last week, we've got an action-packed weekend planned starting on Thursday the 28th with a night of solo performances at our Original Gravity show on Thursday (which comes with the release of a new beer and the rerelease of an old favorite), followed by a tasty-ass pierogi pop-up on Friday the 29th, and then the next dang day we'll have the Bonetown Burgers truck in our lot for the block party we're hosting with our neighbors (more details on that next week)!
