Howdy all! It's that time of the year again - time to fill every available container with candy for "research purposes" and/or use every excuse possible to cram the word "spooktacular" into most of our sentences!
And we're startin' this month off spooktacularly strong with a long weekend! That's right - we'll be open all day on Monday, October 9th for Columbus Day! You might argue that this "isn't a real holiday" but we would probably make the counterpoint that we "don't care" because a lotta people get the day off and days off are made for day drinkin', so come on by!

Speaking of all things spooktacular, Audio Triviality is back this week! Nefarious Realm is comin' through to test your knowledge of goth rock or yodeling or something, so come on out for good times and good beers and probably some good pizza while you're here!
And as always we've got more spooktacular stuff on cask this week! This week we're returning to perennial favorite (of ours, anyway) - Extra Naked! This time around we're doin' dueling casks that pit Old World hops vs. the newest of the new! First up on Thursday is a cask with some hella classic European hop varieties - Czech Saaz and German Magnum, then on Saturday we're trottin' out some experimental BRU-1! It's tradition vs. innovation,* so check 'em both out and see what's what!

In addition to that there cask on Saturday, we've also got Fat Boyfriend bringin' and slingin' the spooktacular snacks! Specifically, they're comin' in laden with hella hand pies of the autumnal variety: pulled pork, harvest tomato and cheese, and apple crisp!
And looking a little farther ahead into this, the most spooktacular of months, we're doin' up a right proper Halloween-style shindig on Friday, October 27th! We're bringin' in some comic book friends for an Arch Enemies themed event with a costume contest and comic book signings and two beer releases** and probably some other stuff!
Also! If you happen to be out Newton way this Friday afternoon - say, at Marty's Fine Wines - then you're in for a special treat because we'll be there too! We'll have samples and growlers and high fives, so come on by and say hi!
