Hello friends! We've got lots of new developments and new tastes and maybe a couple tasteful new developments so read on, dear reader!
First up and most noticeable is the new bay door that's all up and running and ready to rock! This'll allow us to get way more light even when we can't have the door open (which, yes, means you'll be able to see the outside world even when it sucks out there), plus it (hopefully) satisfies that pesky "fire code" that's been holdin' back our expansion! We've got probably a thousand phone calls to city hall to get through before we can actually have any real news on that front, but things are a-movin'!

And continuing with the topic of "news you can use" (and in this case "use" means "drink"): new beers!
First off, though not entirely "new" per se, is our weekly cask! This week - on Thursday as usual - we're bringin' back an old friend who we wish could have a permanent beer engine all to herself: Ruby Rye! This beer was just made for cask, and you will most likely be disappointed in yourself if you miss her on the ol' engine (we also might be a bit disappointed, but true change comes from within or whatever).

AND over the past few days we were able to tap three new beers, and two of them are intended to be blended as a beertail, so that's like a fourth new beer that we might forget to put on the menu!

Appropriately enough, we named the beers Adelle and Korey, respectively (and the beertail made by blending two is named "To Have and To Hold (My Beer)"). Adelle is a pale ale that's nice 'n' fruity and oh-so-easygoing, while Korey is a big ol' bruiser of a farmhouse fortified with peaches that knows how to bring the heat (though be warned, Korey will sneak up on you). Anyway they're both on tap right now so you should come check 'em out!

Also on tap circa right now is Hartshorne! We done collab'd up with the Wakefield Historical Society and our former bartender Bubs and local beer historian Malcolm Purinton to put together a night o' historical fun that's sure to be as educational as it is enjoyable! And to ensure your enjoy, we made a beer about the house that's hosting the event! It's an old-ass house so we cherry-picked the bits that we like from historical brewing and made a "historically inspired" smoky brown ale featuring applewood smoked malt from our friends up at Blue Ox! And oh man is this a tasty tipple - the consensus around the Tasting Table was that it's a perfect beer for drinking by the liter (despite its relatively high strength) and if it were to be paired with some sort of grilled sausages... well, we might never need to get up again if that were the case.
And anyway, we've somehow got even more beers that we made for you,* but they're still waitin' for menu space so I don't know why I even mention it, except to say that one of those beers was made extra-special just for our Friendsgiving Dinner in a little over a week (on 11/15) and you should totally come check that shindig out. There's still a couple tickets left, so be sure to grab one if you wanna come hang out and eat turkey 'n' pie with us!
In less fun news this week, Simpsons Trivia will be on Hiatus this month while our intrepid host is off in the world doing whatever the hell it is while he's not here.
But back to better tidings, on Friday we'll have Compliments Food Truck back in the house! They'll be slingin' cheese-based goodness for all your noshin' needs startin' right at six, so come on and get your grub on while you try all these tasty new beers!

Also on Friday we'll apparently have "live painting" by Phil LeBlanc, a local artist, but I kinda don't know what that means so I guess we'll find out?
Oh! And! For those of y'all that have a three-day weekend this week, we will be open on Monday 11/12 from 12-6 PM. So if you're lookin' to have your Monday turn into Sunday Part Two (The Slouchening) come on by and sink a pint or three!
