In Which We Expound the Virtues of Going Virtual

Hello again! As we bravely sally forth into "bundle up and hide from the world" season, we're here to remind you that it has, in fact, been an entire week since our last blog post which is weird because we were pretty sure that it had been, like, three days, tops. But! We must carry on and we must trust that someday it'll be light out for more than 45 minutes. But until then, we drink beer.

And on that note, now that we're all cooped up indoors all the time, we figured we'd fire up the ol' modem and figure out some ways what we can try to break up the monotony... cyberspace style! And it turns out that we kinda dig doin' virtual events, partly because it combines three of our passions (drinking beer, working all the time, and not needing to wear pants), but also because it means we get to (try to) come up with fun/interesting things to do for/with y'all (which has been a bit of a void in our lives for most of this year).

So in other words, we're gonna start "easing in" to the "groove" of things by doin' some "beer with the brewers" shindigs where we (Liz and Jared) will get on Zoom and drink beer and talk about beer and, um, that's it so far. At some point we'll probably try and work in some cool shit like cheese pairings or guest stars or puppet shows or something, but for now we're keepin' it simple.

But anyway, we figured we'd kick things off by doing a side-by-side tasting of Ginger Spectacular and Ginger Disco next Friday at 7PM! The logistics are pretty straightforward: we’ll have the “beers of the week” available for purchase as a mixed set on our online shop, and we’ll email you the Zoom link for the tasting with your purchase. You can pick up your order here at the brewery anytime during the week or schedule a delivery, and come Friday we’ll sign on, drink some beverages, talk shop, and answer any questions you have! Beers will range from spankin’ new releases to side-by-side tastings of similar beers (ex. two different single hop pale ales) to barrel aged vertical tastings.

We miss seeing all your faces in the taproom, and it’s gonna be a long winter. Hopefully this will bring everyone together for a little cheer! Also, if you happen to have these beers already kicking around and want to join in, email us a picture of them and we’ll send you the link!

Oh! And since it's been, like, an entire week since we released a beer, we figured it was high time we released a beer! This time around we re-brewed an old favorite** from a couple years back and then we spent the past nine months or so eagerly waiting for it to awake from its oaky slumber (in a Short Path whiskey barrel this time around) and now The Quadless Leg Monster is back and in bottles and ready for you to enjoy!

* Not unlike the rerelease of Fancy Pants, come to think of it. I guess 2020 is The Year of Fond Nostalgia. Or, more accurately, The Year of Throwbacks Nobody Asked For.
