In Which We Get a New Bar and a Bigger Hole

​Hello, friends! It's been a big ol' busy ol' week around here and we've got tons of cool stuff to share!

In the biggest news, our new bar has arrived! We spent a lotta time thinking through and working out the various details, but this is the first time we've actually seen it all up close and personal, and dang but it looks amazing!* ​

And in more big rad news, we've got (most of) our doorways leading between the existing and in-progress parts of our taproom! They don't look like much (because they're just people-sized holes in the wall), but it's yet another step forward (and it really opens the room up, if we do say so ourselves)!

And speaking of rad news, we know it's somethin' of a fun outdoors grilling type day today, so to celebrate we're dolin' out free hot dogs in the taproom! Come and get 'em!

And in the midst of all that big news, we can't forget about the trusty-as-always cask release! We were right pleased with the cask of Azacca that was dry hopped with Mass-grown cascade last week, so this week we're tryin' the same beer with New York-grown cascade - on tap this ​Thursday! Wild times, indeed.

Speaking of things that happen on the regular, don't forget to come on out this Thursday for Audio Triviality! We suspect a good time will be had, though we don't know the theme of the night because Matt won't tell us (or he did tell us and we forgot, but either way we don't have his phone number so we can't ask him).

And while we're on the topic of trivia, don't forget to swing through next Thursday for the second installment of Simpsons Trivia! A good time was had by all last time (except for maybe the jerks that didn't like their stupid prizes), so we feel pretty confident saying it'll be fun again this time!

Speaking of which (and/or not really), a new month means a new batch of coloring contest winners! We had some extremely adequate entries this month, which made judging tricky to say the least, but we were able to pick a winner and four runners-up! Party!

And looking a little farther into the future, Jimbo's gettin' ready to resume her wrestlin' persona as the Fermento-Terror at the Pink Boots Boston Summer Showdown on July 29! It's gonna be at Lookout Farm in Natick and there's gonna be arm wrestlin' and laughter and novelty train rides and special beers. Grab your tickets here - all proceeds go towards the Pink Boots Boston Chapter. Come on out and support the rad ladies who make your beer! 

Lastly but not leastly, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention (again**) that we're throwing a second birthday party for our taproom at the end of August! We have several bands lined up*** and several special beers in planning and many many fun ideas to give y'all some good times to enjoy!

* There is, of course, a bit of touch-up work that we need to do, but that's just details (adding side rails, attaching the bar top to the supports that it's sitting on, stuff like that). 
** Spoiler alert, we'll be mentioning this pretty much every week until it happens and then maybe also for a little while afterwards too. 
*** Our current lineup is entirely bands we've met through the taproom. How friggin' cool is that? Tentative lineup: The Weisstronauts, Blood Built Empire, DnA's Evolution, and Sunken City!
