Well hey there, cats and kittens! We're back to ramble about our brewery and whoa nelly do we have a lot goin' on this week! There's merch and largely-intentional holes in the walls and enough new beers that I lost count, so read on dear reader and read up the writin' we wrote about all the doin' we done did. First off, we got our birthday merch! It's hella rad if we do say so ourselves, but this is really just a tease anyway because we're keepin' this sweet swag on lockdown until The Day Itself. Still though, check it out! There are mugs! There are t-shirts! There are also tank tops! Anyway. Beer. As we mentioned last week in this here blog, we had some secret beer in the works at the time. And we do still have some secret beer waitin' in the wings, but we were able to release one of them dang ol' beers last week: Rebello Fellow! See, our friend Victor recently turned American, and pretty much the only way we know how to celebrate anything is by brewing beer about it, so we whipped up a big ol' hoppy ol' Belgian strong for Victor's America Party! And now it's on tap! Come drink some! Victor wants YOU to come drink his U.S.A. beer! But that ain't all the new beer we got for you, no way. Far from it. See, we brewed up a big buncha beers for our birthday bash, but we're too excited to wait until the Big Day to release 'em all, so we're givin' y'all a Sneak Preview by puttin' summa those suckers on tap Right Friggin' Now! We done gone filled it all up again... First up on that list is the beer we brewed to enjoy alongside the musical stylings of DnA's Evolution (who will, not coincidentally, be playing at our birthday party)! The beer in question is an entirely-quaffable pale ale named DNA made with locally-grown Magnum from our friends at Four Star Farms! It's tasty as heck and dang but if it doesn't smell just like standing in a hop yard and also it's on tap right now and you should drink some! Be like Jared. "But wait," you say. "Y'all are allways nattering on about how dark beers are best in the hot weather, but your draft list looks like it's got a strong touch of Summer Fever to me." And that's a fair point. Or at least if would be, if we hadn't drawn Dark Inspiration from our friends (and soon-to-be performers at our birthday party) Blood Built Empire! We needed the perfect beer to pair with their set, and if that beer ain't a dry stout then I don't even know what to tell you (except, perhaps, that your opinion might be wrong). Anyway, Blood Built Stout is damn near delightful and it's also on tap right now! And if you're lookin' for somethin' to do (and/or eat) while you drink all these tasty new beers, we've got you covered there, too! First up, on Thursday, is the return of Simpsons Trivia! And to pair with all the puzzlers presented by our lovely host Chris, we're puttin' on a one-night-only beertail, dubbed "The Beer Goggles, They Do Nothing" so come on out and play! Did we mention there will be hot dogs? There will be hot dogs. Moving along to Friday, we've got Matilda's back in the house dishin' up some fried Dominican pastelitos! Crispy. And if you're full-speed-ahead on the carb train (I know we are), Seven Hills Pasta is comin' through on Saturday! Last time they were around we may or may not have eaten so much as to draw unfavorable comparisons to farm machinery, so we're pretty dang stoked for this time! The Feeding: Part II In other big taproom news (though maybe not having that much effect on you personally), we've got a new hole in the wall! Now our bartenders can get between the two bars without having to trek halfway around the dang building, which seems like something that would be pretty important on a certain birthday party that I may or may not have mentioned fifty times already. WALL HOLE! WALL HOLE!
