First up, we are just straight-up excited as heck to show you our fully-installed new bar! It's been lingering in a sort of ~80% done limbo for a couple weeks (because of Reasons) but dang does it look fine! Admittedly, there's still a finishing touch or two that needs to be added, but that stuff is all pretty quick, right?
Hello friends! I hope you're ready for good times and friendship, because we've got some good times and friendship comin' atcha! First up, we are just straight-up excited as heck to show you our fully-installed new bar! It's been lingering in a sort of ~80% done limbo for a couple weeks (because of Reasons) but dang does it look fine! Admittedly, there's still a finishing touch or two that needs to be added, but that stuff is all pretty quick, right? ... right? ...and what's that behind it? Is that a new tile floor for our soon-to-be-expanded production area? It sure is! While that might not be as purdy as our sturdy ol' bar, it means we can finally start doin' stuff in our new production space! Woo! So much room for activities! Like cleaning! And sanitizing! And organizing! Speaking of doin' stuff, remember that collaboration brew (well, whiskey "brew") we did with GrandTen a ways back? Well they came on over to our house to return the favor just yesterday: we took the grain bill from their single malt whiskey, and for the first time ever we had a guest yeast strain all up ins! We don't know a hell of a lot about what their yeast is bringin' to the table (they were pretty tight-lipped on the details), but you can rest assured that this is gonna be a beer unlike anything we've made in the past! FRENS Woohoo! Milling! And while we're goin' on about cool stuff happenin' in Future Times, we figure we best let y'all in on the sweet deets about what we got planned for special beers for our birthday party! Now, as we mentioned, we're plannin' on havin' four musical guests this year, and assuming all goes according to plan, we're gonna brew up a beer to pair with each dang ol' band! But you knew that already.* But what you (probably) didn't know is that after a bit o' planning, we've (mostly) got the beers themselves mapped out! For The Weisstronauts we'll have a hoppy blonde ale named Jaunty, for Blood Built Empire we'll have a dry stout that ain't got a name yet (we were gonna call it "Empire" but that's the name of a brewery in a neighboring state and we ain't wanna step on toes, so we're goin' with "Blood Built" unless that changes), for DNA's Evolution we'll be brewin' up a pale ale tentatively named DNA, and for Sunken City we'll be brewin' up a new(ish)fangled take on an old favorite - a witbier - and namin' it Sunken Wit. And one last note on that - while we are brewin' up these here beers to enjoy at our lil' ol' party, it's not entirely feasible for us to hold off on releasing all of them until the Big Day, so keep an eye out over the coming weeks if you want a sneak peek! Our draft list, as it currently stands - Four Star Smoothie, Mr. Buttons, Azacca, and Springtime Lies are all on the cusp of extinction, so come visit us this weekend for one more pour if you enjoyed them! Anyway. Back to the now. As per usual and right on time, this Thursday we're servin' up a cask that's fresh as heck and twice as tasty! This time around it's gonna be Hillcrest! If you like things that are brown, this will probably be right up your alley. Hi Patrick! And speaking of good things that we think you'll enjoy, we've got our friend Mr. Tamole back in the taproom this Friday! Good tastes and good times to be had by all. It's been too long! And for something a little later on and further afield, we'll be reppin' at Tails & Ales in Methuen on Saturday! It's a beer festival plus a fundraiser plus a giant pet adoption! Come on out and say hi and maybe leave with a dog! Or possibly a farm animal. * Unless you didn't.
