In Which We Tap Alllll the Casks

Heyo! It's been another bumper week around here and we got the beat up draft list to prove it. Yes, the ol' chalkboard is lookin' a little worse for the wear these days, but never you fret! We're keepin' on rampin' up on our cask program so's there's always a lil' somethin' new, plus we got a couple old favorites* comin' back, and we've got an exciting (to us, at least) project comin' up that'll result in some delicious drinkables for you down the line!

First up, as previously mentioned, we got us another cask comin' on this week! And next week! And the week after that! And another one later! And it'll keep going! Hopefully forever!

But we're extra hella stoked because this time around - in a move that nobody has been clamoring for - we're puttin' on our all-time go-to: Extra Naked! Feel free to make your own Extra Naked/hand pump jokes on your own time, odds are we've heard (or made) most of them already. ​

As for those Old Favorites I mentioned, first on the ol' choppin’ block is Black Witow, being brought back for an unprecedented** third time! For those of you not “in the know”*** and also “unwilling to click that link,” Black Witow is a light-bodied easy-drinkin Belgian Witbier that just so happens to be jet black. It’s a weird lil’ beer and it confuses the crap out of some people, but we love it and we think it’s perfect for spring!

Next up for them Old Favorites is Bullhead... but with a twist this time. Long story short, we're keepin' the same recipe but we're using grains from a different small maltster (we can't guarantee we won't roll our eyes at you if you use the phrase "smalltster") - in this case, Two Track Malting out of North Dakota - to see how they compare (and they got their work cut out for them - we love us some Blue Ox around here)! 

And what of that exciting semisecret project I mentioned? Read on, dear reader. See, there are a few Friends of the Brewery - who we'll call Jodi and Josh, because those are their names - who are getting married in a short while. And in the midst of the planning frenzy that accompanies even the most modest of nuptials, they had the idea to procure some of our delicious drinkables for their guests. And while we could do that (selling beer is, like, the only thing we do), we decided**** to do them one better and make them some special-ass marriage beers! So what we're doin' is we're makin' a Jodi Beer and a Josh Beer, and they're intended to be blended at serving (they're made to go together, get it?), since we're pretty big on beertails around here (and if you weren't in the know on that last bit, it might behoove you to inquire about the secret menu next time you're in). Them's all the details we're fit to divulge at the time being, but keep an eye out in the coming weeks (particularly around, say, May fourteenth), because we'll be releasin' these beers in the taproom on the Big Day!

** Admittedly, we're a pretty new company, so "unprecedented" doesn't really carry a lot of weight around here.
*** Speaking of being in the know, we've got some (hopefully tasty) tricks up our collective sleeves for when that goes on cask, so keep them eyes peeled.
