Well hello there! We've finally calmed down after all the good-news-related prancing from last week, and things have slowed down a bit due to some sort of year-end celebration that people keep talking about. Sure, tell us after we draw this festive picture that the celebration has literally nothing to do with seafaring skeletons. We're still pluggin' away on the brewery, though our current project is apparently a bit dull - as evidenced by the fact that friends and relatives have explicitly asked us not to talk about it.* But! We've got some big things on the horizon! We're installing our hardwood floor soon, and we're scheduling up our contractors** to finish up all the work that - according to "city officials" - needs to be done by "licensed professionals" who can do a "competent job" instead of by two "knucklehead brewers" who "make things up as they go along." But that'll hopefully go relatively smoothly, since we mostly just need the contractors for one thing (though it is a big enough job that it somehow requires the services of a plumber, an electrician, and some HVAC technicians). And since we tend to get all sorts of sentimental around Christmas,*** we'd once again like to thank all of you out there. It's been a hell of a year, and while things haven't exactly gone the way we thought they would, we have gotten to meet a lot of great people along the way. So thank you to everybody who's offered encouragement, sympathy, or support. It means a lot to us. And even if we haven't gotten to meet you yet (or talk with you via email/social media/et cetera), thanks for reading this ridiculous blog of ours. We appreciate the hell out of it, and we're looking forward to seeing you in the taproom! Cheers and well wishes abound! In our glasses is probably some of the last Jack D'or we'll get our paws on. *Hi mom!
