Howdy and hello, it's time for more bloggin' so here we go!
First and foremost, we've got some funny business vis-a-vis holiday hours over the next couple of weeks, which we summed up with this festive, handy and/or dandy visual aid:

Aside from the expected closures, we got some other semi-major schedule changes all up in. Firstly, we'll be open on Thursdays starting at three PM for the rest of the year (all two weeks of it)! So if you need to do some last-minute Xmas shopping this week, or if you just wanna kick back and hang out on a Thursday night, come on by!
And, equally importantly, the city has allowed us to stay open late (until one AM) on New Year's Eve, so we're gonna do that! Now, we here at Bone Up are of two minds about this particular holiday: we like drinking-related celebrations as much as anyone, but it seems like NYE is when a lot of places like to charge a steep cover to get you into a "party" whose theme is apparently "Let's Make These Drinks Way More Expensive!"... which ain't really our style. Instead, we're throwing a (free to enter) party whose theme is more like "Let's Keep it Low-Key" and we're putting in even less effort than we usually do* for this type of shindig. We'll have beer and games and snacks for some comfortable good times. And who knows, we may even go buck wild and order a pizza. Party on, etc.

And it's worth mentioning that we'll be open for our usual hours (noon to eight) on New Year's Day, so in the event that you want to come in for a "brunch" that may or may not consist mostly of wondering whether or not you can keep down a pretzel, you should come on by! As a courtesty, we'll keep the music level down.
And after the Christmas Craziness and the New Year's Shennanigans are all said and done, we've got just hell of fun times lined up for our Month O' Fun** in January! After a "cool down" weekend, we're gettin' off to a strong start by throwing some sort of mountaineering-themed block party with our neighbors!

And to keep things in line with this totally normal party theme, we'll be trottin' out our next single hop pale ale, this time featuring Summit! And as always, we're tryin' to showcase hops that we feel are underappreciated. In this case, it's the hop that brewers love to hate (and vice versa) - when used properly, it tastes like orange marmalade; but when used improperly, a lot of people think it tastes like onions. Should be fun!

The Friday after that, we got a double whammy! The boys over at BeerAdvocate are descending upon our taproom for one of their "throwdowns," which I'm told is a free social/meetup/gathering for Beer People. So we're gonna hang out, talk shop, and give tours to anyone who asks nicely from 6-9pm! As an added bonus, staff-favorite Miguel's Empanadas will be in the house with some epicurean delights*** available for purchase!
We've got loads more Fun Things in the books and/or in the works for the rest of January and all of 2017, but we'll save those for another week!
* Our theory is that a bar is basically like a party anyway, so our usual amount of effort is "slightly more than none."
