The Destroyer Cometh

Hello again! We're back to doin' what we do best* and we've got a solid lineup of beers and snacks and good times to go around!

On Thursday we're hittin' the ground runnin' with a cask of our runaway staff summertime pick: Voyager! And as we are wont to do, we stuffed in a lil' extra vojvodina for those of you** who look for a little somethin' special in your casks. It's gonna be a tasty one and we're expectin' it to go fast, but never you worry - we've got more gettin' tapped on Saturday!

We think it's supposed to be pronounced "VOY-voh-deen-uh" but most of our communication is grunting and pointing so maybe don't take our word for it.  

And on Friday we're bringin' Fat Boyfriend Bakery back around for some delicious hand pie action! This time around they'll be rollin' in with pulled chicken/cilantro/lime, sundried tomato/asiago, and summer berry; and dang but we'll have to show some pretty serious restraint to keep from eatin' them all our dang selves.

They're basically fancy pop tarts.

And luckily for us, we'll be pulled from the perfume of pastries by our growler pop up at Hopster's Alley! So if you wanna get your growler on without venturing too far from Boston Proper, we'll be there starting at 4:30 and hangin' out 'til the beer runs out!

If the table is unattended, we most likely wandered off in search of nuts or pastrami. 

Then on Saturday we're bustin' out the big guns with a trifecta of tastes: there's a cask (we discussed this), and Revelry food truck will be dishin' up N'awlins style cuisine during the day, and we're releasin' a brand spankin' new beer! There's really no reason not to come on by and sink some pints, if you think about it.

They have a sandwich named "Beef Debris." This is our kinda truck.

And what beer will we be releasing, you ask? Why, it's none other than Madeline the Destroyer! It's a bright 'n' fruity hoppy blonde that we made to honor a four-year-old's birthday*** and dang if it ain't the perfect thing for this weather.

And then on Sunday we got Fat Boyfriend comin' through again with some savory brunch treats for your face!

Because we never really stop wanting that ham 'n cheese.

Last but not least is the announcement that almost nobody**** was waiting for: June's coloring contest winners! But first we got some runners up for ya:

We were going to give Heather the "Better than Nanno" award, but that basically covers everybody so instead she's getting the coveted "Not Last Place" trophy. 

Maria gets the Joybringer award because this just straight up brings us joy. 

Kasey gets the "Best Use of Mythical Creatures" award. 

Alex M wins the prize for Sweet Deets or something. I'm running out of ideas at this point. 

And then for obvious reasons Lydia takes home the "Weirdmageddon" prize.

Amy gets the prize for "Dang, Why You Gotta Make It So Hard to Pick a Winner"

And then of course as our winner we've got this radness from Dorliza! So for all y'all what got some winnin's, come on in and collect your swag!

And if that weren't enough, in just one short week (on July 6th) we'll be hostin' the second installment of our (loosely) music-themed trivia night: Audio Triviality! And given the patriotic timing, it's all gonna be centered on some good ol' American rock 'n' roll! So if you think you got the rock chops to battle the best, come on by and test your mettle!

* Forgetting that it's a holiday weekend until we're reminded by our grain delivery guy, apparently. 
** OK fine, we did it because we wanted it. That's how our cask program got its start in the first place. 
*** She's our neice. This isn't just some random-ass four year old we're making beers for. 
**** It goes back and forth between "almost nobody" and "actually nobody" depending on whether or not Victor finished his dang coloring page.
