As we hinted at* last week, we were hoping/expecting to have some surprises in store, so surprises we shall supply!
Now, as some have you may have noticed (often with a moderate amount of disappointment), there's a vacant space in our taproom which until recently had been occupied by Pac Man.** This has been a medium bummer for us, so we've been going through our usual procedure to fill that void (waiting around for something to fall from the sky). And thank Hops, the universe has provided! Specifically, it provided in the form of a man we know as Pinball Mitch.*** And if you couldn't guess from his name, Mitch has some pretty intense feelings about pinball (the short version of the story is: he's for it). Now, it might seem a bit peculiar to be so gung-ho about something that can seem sort of frivolous, but we can certainly sympathize, given our own intense/passionate interests.****
Anyway, the long and the short of it is: we got Metallica pinball and holy hell it is so fun!

In other news, we're on a temporary Pretzel Hiatus for at least a week while our baker gets married and goes on her honeymoon and probably does a whole bunch of other Real Life stuff that just gets in the way of snacks and snacking. But fear not! Our snack game is still going strong with our ever-growing supply of nineties-era noshables. We'll have loads of new and salty snacks in the taproom over the next few weeks!
Shopping day looks like a "Yes on Four" victory party in our taproom. No shame.
And in other other news, we'll be open 12-11pm on the day before and the day after Thanksgiving! So whether you're pretending to "wait out the traffic" or pretending to "take advantage of some Black Friday Deals," we'll be here to serve you some suds and some special new beers!
And speaking of Thanksgiving, we're slingin' pies from Caldwell Confections throughout the holiday season! Order forms (and possibly delicious samples) will be available in the taproom starting this weekend, and we'll have pickup times scheduled right before Thanksgiving and Christmas for you to come grab your tasty treats! We got our grubby little paws on one of these pies, and it lasted maybe two hours in our loving care.

We got one more fun thing comin' at ya this week - on Thursday the 17th our first-ever cask (in this case, it's Wasted Life with an extra - and extra large - dose of the enigmatically-named 07270 hop) is pouring at the first-ever bar to carry our beer! They ain't got much, so if you like casks and/or if you like weird hops that nobody has ever heard of, you should check it out!
