Where's Chris?

Hello again! We're back in action with yet another beer-filled week and some beer-fueled fun times and that's pretty much always the deal so let's get to the nitty and/or gritty!

But first, pet portraits. (Trust me, you don't wanna miss the next one of these painting classes. So fun!)

First on up is a new beer that's out on draft right now and it's an amber called Where's Chris? and it's mighty tasty if we do say so ourselves! It's named in honor of our erstwhile bartender Chris who you've almost definitely seen if you've been here on a Saturday at pretty much any point in the last six years (or if you've ever come to Simpsons Trivia) and anyway it turns out that we can't name a beer "Fuck Off Chris" and there are already a jillion beers named "Good Riddance" so here we are!

And as a complete coincidence we've got another beer we're keggin' off this week and it's named Don't Go but this one has nothing to do with Chris (or any of our staff, for that matter). This one's a beer that we're brewing to pair with the tunes of The Guilloteenagers as they rock out onstage at our anniversary party this year and it's a bit bittersweet because their guitarist is moving to Canada but also it's all good because he'll be here for the show and I guess i should talk a little about the beer which is a tasty lil' bright 'n tropical session IPA that's gonna be on draft soon (we need to free up a draft line first) so keep them eyes peeled!

And speaking of beers that will be on draft at some point, we recently brewed up our six hundredth batch which is pretty cool so we did what we're wont to do for such occasions and we brewed up a big stupid beer (a barleywine of sorts, in this case) and most of it is destined to be barrel-aged but we'll be tappin' a bit of it once it's ready (which will be at some point after this weekend and also once Joybringer kicks) and anyway it's gonna be tasty times!

And movin' on into Fun Times, on Thursday we've got our regularly-scheduled Simpsons Trivia with our lovely host Chris (remember him? From a few paragraphs ago? No? Us either) and the theme is Season Seven, which means studying will be fun and anyway you should come join us! 

And then on Friday if you happen to be somewhere that is not our taproom (which we do not advise), we'll be hangin' at Seabiscuit! Yes indeedy, Liz and/or Jared will be hangin' out and slingin some samples and stuff alongside the best meat pies this side of the equator, so come say hi! 

Then on Saturday we're kickin' off the day with  Stoner Metal Yoga! Crystal is comin' by to lead y'all through an all-levels yoga class, set to the tunes of Sleep and Monolord and all that good stuff (which, if you haven't noticed, is pretty much completely our jam) and it's gonna be a good time and you should come by! And if you needed extra incentive to come by on Saturday (or if yoga and/or stoner metal ain't your thing) we've got El Pelon makin' their taproom debut with their taco cart and they make some mighty tasty eats so you should probably show 'em a warm welcome and/or eat their tacos!

And speaking of taproom newcomers with tasty eats, we've got Tubb's Doughnuts in the house on Sunday! We don't know a hell of a lot about them, but we do know that doughnuts are good and we're gonna eat some and you should too! 

And then movin' a little ways past the weekend, it behooves us to let you know that next Wednesday we're hosting Action Movie Trivia! It's not on our normal trivia night (which is Thursday) but otherwise you pretty much know what to expect, so come on out!
