Hi kids! We're back in the swing of things and after an extended drought* where we were sorely lacking in new beers, we've come out swingin' with all the new beers! And what, praytell, have we concocted to tingle your tastebuds and scintillate your senses? Well read on, dear reader, cuz we gon' tell ya.

First up is (of course) a beer with a story behind it. Our brewer Regular Tom wanted to name a beer after his sister because that's cheaper than buying a birthday present, so we did just that and now we're proud to give you ...[pause to sigh for dramatic effect]... Shlem. No, we don't know why he calls her Shlem. We didn't ask and, frankly, we don't want to know. Anyway. Despite the... interesting name, Shlem is a tasty lil' beverage! It's a crisp 'n' toasty lil' amber** that's got just a smidge or two of fruitiness for balance and it's on tap right now so you should come drink some!
Also on tap right now is Ocean IPA! We teamed up with The Oceanaire Seafood Room to put together a beer dinner a little ways back and their chef is a beer guy so we wrote up a recipe for a special beer for this dinner and then we made him come in and do all the hard work to make it! Anyway, since it was a seafood pairing and since Chef Manny loves hops, we went with a big ol' citrussy boozer and dang but it is a treat to drink - I guess you could say it has a... mountain of flavor!
Also also on tap right now is Elmo! We talked a little about Elmo a little ways back when we gave y'all a "sneak preview," and now it's on tap for good! And in case you "missed the memo" on Elmo, it's a smooth-sippin' oatmeal stout that was brewed to honor the memory of a Good Boy (named Elmo, natch). And as an added bonus, it comes in a sweet glass that can be yours to keep for the low-low price of $3, and we'll turn right around and donate that $3 to a dog rescue! Everybody wins!
And for a brief excursion into tasty things that aren't new beers, we're doin' cheese flights on Wednesday! Which is today! We did up some cheese times on Sunday and they were tasty times indeed, so we're once again sidlin' up to the ol' cutting board and sampling the wares of a local creamery (specifically Grace Hill Farm), so come on out and get cheesy with us!
Anyway, back to beer. Remember Elmo? That beer from two paragraphs ago? Well it's gonna be on cask startin' this Thursday! And since we had the luck to try this very beer on cask this past weekend (at that rad fest that Cape Cod Beer threw), we can say with authority: it good.
Aaaand movin' on to more Fun Times, on Thursday we're bringin' a new-to-us trivia host in here to, um, host some trivia! The theme is alcohol, so put on your best booze pants and come show off your smarts!
Movin' on and movin' forward, if you're the type*** who has recently said to yourself "I really should drink more beer on farms" then we have got some news for you because this Friday we're goin' to a beer dinner on a farm! And it's not just any ol' beer dinner, this here's a Black Ale Project beer dinner thrown by Saltbox and they invited us and (perhaps somewhat contrary to the "black ale" theme, though certainly appropriate for the "summer on a farm" theme) we're bringing Key Lime!
And lastly but far from leastly, on Saturday there's gonna be another dang ol' cornhole tournament in our parking lot! Long story short, our neighbors at The Village have a cornhole hookup and they invited us and the end result is you probably get to drink in our parking lot, which really is the true spirit of lawn games.
And to round out this bag o' fun times, we'll be hanging with our pals Deep Cuts Deli and some art vendors all afternoon on Sunday! If you've ever wanted to peruse locally made candles and such while munching on a tasty sandwich, here's your opportunity!
